Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Continued from the last comp thread.

Retro d, you say you have issues with your air rifle. What were they? Curious how it would fair on the longer shots against the shorter shots.

Would like to see more air rifle and pistol lads having a go. Not sure about the rifle section especially at longer ranges, but air pistol lads would have a good go at it.

hi Cass , i was grand on the short course I'm well able for those distances the wind is a big problem for me when shooting sub 12 ft lb 177 calibre 8.4 grain pellet , and shooting offhand is something i never really do, shaking all over the place , my scope is calibrated with chairgun so football size targets out to 140 yards in no wind is easy with a bipod , great fun , Thanks Tony

Can't say anything about the shaky hands. I'm the same after years of neglecting my free hand shooting.

The comp pushes you to work harder i suppose and see if you can improve. Have been meaning to enter myself (rifle section), but as good as the hmr is i'd have serious issues holding the thing steady at the standing section. No matter how close it is. Still never know till you try it.

You gonna give it a bash again?

I will be back again soon for sure , to have a place like that to shoot is very special ,

    Good to hear.

Sometimes people are put off by not winning everything with their first go at a certain comp. It really is the taking par that counts and after a short while you'd be surprised at how much you've progressed without even realising.

So had a great day today. Never fired a shot, but met some regular faces and some new ones.

Had great craic and the slagging was going strong. The turn out was a little low, but to be expected due to the weekend that is in it.

To all those i met today nice to meet you, and well done. To the other lads great to see ye all again and hopefully we'll meet up at the next match on the 28th April.

Good day for the comp. Sun was shining but a bit of the clod wind blowing into us. My second time to go as other commitments held me back but hopefully I'll get to a few more over the summer.

The Bullseye a nice competition to shoot and a good place start for everyone who wants to have a go first time.
