I think the amount of subs being brought on needs to be looked at
Gaps will appear as players get tired which will make it more of a spectacle
It will stop teams like Toulon buying 40 players and stop players getting international caps by being on the pitch for 5 mins
What would you change about the number of subs? If dropping the number of subs what numbers and therefore positions would you drop?
You don't want to drop at the pro level a front row as that means uncontested scrums are more likely to happen and is that what we need? The other 2 forward subs cover 5 places on the pitch and three back subs cover 7 positions. How would you drop one of those?
It wouldn't stop Toulon from buying up players

I think a lot of the boshing and one dimensional play we are seeing is because of the advent of the choke tackle. Tacklers are coming in high in an attempt to prevent the ball being moved away and ball carriers are trying to meet these high hits with equally powerful hits of their own.

And that is precisely because of the change in the laws 20 years ago to the "use it or lose it" dictum that pertains now. (I've already pontificated on this here) You want to get rid of the choke tackle, bring back the old laws. It wouldn't make sense under them.

I think the solution would be to decrease the amount of subs and increase the size of the pitch maybe 2.5 metres wider and longer on each side.

    Opinions?

Most pitches are far from the max allowed by law already so makingg pitches bigger isn't going to happen as most venues can't fit bigger pitches.

I don't think this is a problem anymore. With respect to Tony it might have been a problem in 2015, but more tries are being scored now than I can remember in a long time.
