So there's no proof of them actually saying ''Well it's going to be Guardian?''

    A) I'd very much doubt that "they" would be that stupid, and B) No, not to my knowledge*

*(which in this case extends as far as the radio show I heard it on, similar to how you came up with it - not exactly evidence, is it?!)

This type of snide comment really stinks.
The point was explained politely earlier. Several times. It was obviously not understood. The only alternative possibility is that the poster in question simply ignored those explanations. Surely not?!?

As somebody pointed out in the early pages of this thread, the 'No' tactic is

    1. Make a daft or irrelevant point
    2. Ignore the reasoned and logical refutation of the daft or irrelevant point.
    3. Move on to another daft or irrelevant point.

    It gets old.

I was giving the poster the benefit of the doubt. That they were debating from a position of intellectual honesty, but are slightly (only slightly now. I never said they were stupid!) intellectually under-equipped.

Really stinky isn't it? Like a piece of ripe stilton that got left out in the sun?
I usually prefer to leave those one sitting there.
It reflects perfectly the feelings of total inadequacy being suffered, justifiably, by yhe poster.
    No other comment is needed.

Think No voters should take a look at this. Lot's of deindividuation going on whereby they are spouting hurtful and nasty things online and can't see the emotional impact their words are having on people. Maybe seeing real emotion from a person and how much a Yes vote means to some people, it might just open their eyes a bit.

Oh. By the way... Stilton doesn't require prolonged exposure to sunlight to get stinky. It just needs time. You may be thinking of a harder to spell cheese.

Is it fair to say that the homosexual community in Ireland in 2015 do not suffer the same level of inequality and injustice as black people in Selma during yhe Civil Rights movement?

Is it fair to say that judging by this post you accept that the homosexual community in Ireland in 2015 do suffer some level of inequality and injustice ?

The change in constitution will not require the birth certs to be changed.

However, for other reasons it is possible that guardians may added to the birth cert.

If I were a non biological parent registering my baby I wouldn't be satisfied with the tterm Gaurdian.
If I were the biological parent I wouldn't like it either.
    Parent 1 and 2 won't work either. I

That's you. What about the people who would be quite satisfied with that description?* Why should it concern you at all?

    * Hypothetically, of course, as its not going to happen. But when has that ever stopped a no voter making a 'point'...?

That's OK. You can spell out p-r-i-c-k. It doesn't appear on the naughty words list.

    Can you guess why? :D

Ok endacl your overall fabulousness in every way and your ENORMOUSLY superior intellect makes you a FAR FAR better person than me IN EVERY WAY!!
Of course your sadness at being prohibited from displaying your wedding photos on your solid oak coffee table is just as tragic as the pain my granny suffered when my grandad was imprisoned on a British prison ship in Belfast for 3 years in the 1920s.
And your lack of a wedding certificate to put on the mantle of your cast iron fireplace is deserving of far more acknowledgment then my Auntie Bridies distress when repeatedly overlooked for social housing in Belfast in 1966.
I hope someday you get to wear the crown you so painfully earned.
In the meanwhile help yourself to another piece of gruyere.

Because if I become a parent again then I want to be described on the birth cert as the Mother.
Because that's what I would be.
    Not gaurdian
    Not parent 1 or 2
    Mother

Is this the result of having no logical argument to support your position?

My God, you are an abhorrent little man. But you are clever, I'll give you that, - you've been a member here for 5 years, so you must have joined when you were 8.

Oi! Less of the 'little'. 'Abhorrent', I'll take on the chin. But I'm 6'4" and 17 stone of abhorrent.

You type like your namesake. Out of interest, do you also wear a nappy?

Voted in the poll on this thread ages ago (why's it closed??).

Just wandered in to see how the poll was looking, and was delighted to see yes so far ahead...

And then I started reading some of the posts, and now I ALMOST find myself wanting to vote no just so you might lose...

In fact there's so many arseholes on both sides of this debate talking awful ****e at each other here that I'd like ye all to lose. So I probably just won't vote on the day and leave ye at it.

OK. One more. *ahem* I'm, and you're.

Oh, single as in unmarried, not unattached. Very happily unmarried to the same lovely lady for eight years now. ;)

    G'night all!

Honestly do you not think it's a bit petty to not want people to have equal rights because of a few a-holes on the internet? (I know you said almost but this argument has been bandied about over and over again)

Poor form then , this is after hours . People that never even heard of boards are counting on us and I would hate to say my reason for disappointing them was because of some 'arseholes ' on an internet forum
