5th now. They misjudged the pit strategy, which mean Karun was held at pit exit for over a minute.

I'd say they had guessed on the safety car coming in 30 seconds earlier, if it had, they wouldn't of been held.

odd to see Davidson make a big mistake like that

Frustrating that the TV director won't show the cause of yellow flags, especially because every inch of the track is covered by cameras.

Thanks for the race department stream. The official ACO stream on daily motion just seems to be packed with ads and interviews and no action?

I keep changing stream depending on when my internet decides to crap itself. /r/WEC has a HD stream if anyone wants a link.

Another repair to the barriers. Id say some more concrete walls will be build for next year.

97 Aston Martin stopped on track.

    Sounded like engine is misfiring

Not sure, just looked like black shape, commentators didn't seem to notice it on replays

    Edit: Looked like a tyre

No idea but it was a fair smack to decimate the front section of bodywork. Good work to get her back to the pits with no lights. To still have 5 cars on the leading lap at midnight (Im living in race time zone so much easier to follow commentary) is incredible going.

    Anyone still up?!

  • Registered Users Posts: 30,031 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

That was a hard hit to the 31 car, but lucky had scrubbed off speed before hitting barrier. Similar to the Audi 9 crash earlier amazing to get away with quick repair in pits

Still going, although finding it harder to stay awake while sitting infront of a TV than in the cool la Sarthe air with the cars flying by :)

This race is worth staying up for so far.

Missed the last few hours there but settle in for a few hours now.

Was there last year and missing it in a big way now so watching this with great interest.

Hopefully Porsche can do something here.

Very disappointed with the Toyota's, any idea what's up there?

I was there last year as well and froze as the night went on. I was just glad I had a small blanket with me and managed to blag my way into a stand after convincing the French security man that I was lost and that my friends in the stand had my mobile phone. It was partly true and the stand was half empty at night anyway!
