Now we know that Macho Man will be the first (and possibly Headline) inductee for 2015, perhaps it's time to kick off the 2015 HOF thread.

So, predictions, discussions etc can all go here.

If input possible spoilers in the thread title, to avoid using the spoiler tags. Maybe Mods, would you prefer we stuck to the Wednesday deadline after Raw anyhow?

    Sting

Is it not too soon for Sting considering his hasn't even had a WWE match yet?

I would like to see Chyna also included

I'd love to see Stan Hansen go in.

Outside of Stan, I'd like to see Lex Luger, Kevin Nash, Vickie Guerrero, New Age Outlaws, The Great Muta and Jushin Liger go in this year.

I'd like to see Magnum TA go in.

I wonder will they continue with the International direction again this year. Like last year we had Carlos Colon, who never wrestled in WWE, and was only a big deal in his own country and WWC.

Neither did Verne gagne but he got in. Yes I know he was a huge promoter back in the day but he never wrestled in wwwf/wwf/WWE so it's hardly a pre condition.

What about Undertaker? Either he has had his last match, in which case it's time, or he is about to have his last match, in which case it could be a weekend of celebration for the man and the character.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,837 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

I don't think he would want to go in until after he retired. Remember for Paul Heyman's induction, wasn't it, that he didn't want to induct him as it would involve appearing out of character just before his big match?

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Music Moderators, Regional Midlands Moderators Posts: 24,155 Mod ✭✭✭✭Angron

Yeah, Taker won't go in until he officially retires I reckon.

DDP a cert to go in this year, Scott & Jake will want to induct him while they're still healthy.

I think it feels too soon imo for Sting to go in this year as he just recently signed with WWE

Hopefully Jim Johnston finally goes in

Is Miss Elizabeth already in, if not it would be good her going in too the same year as Macho Man

No Elizabeth isn't in. It would make perfect sense as they were one and the same.

They won't put Elizabeth in right after Hall and Jake. Following up the two greatest survival stories in the business with one of it's biggest tragedies would be kinda twisted.

you remember last year, they followed up one of the most poignant and amazing HOF speeches ever with hornswaggle and el torito running around the stage, I don't think WWE thinks things through!

Love to see Bam Bam Bigelow go in, but they seem to have used the posthumous inductees sparingly in recent years so doubtful with Macho going in.
Love to see Sid, Slick and Vader go in .
Demolition also deserve it but less likely.
    DDP or Nash highly probable

Davey Boy Smith surely deserves a spot - would love to see him go in! If only for the match in Wembley

Scott Hall as Razor Ramon and Ray Stevens are the only names I've seen mentioned.

Want IRS inducted by Bo Dallas and Bray Wyatt.

Didnt Razor go in last year?

Could see Sting and Taker go in together but probably not until next year

good taste or not I would not be surprised to see Liz go in this year alongside Macho man too, then add in maybe a few like Vader, DDP and the New Age outlaws plus one unexpected entrant like a Rikishi / Godfather or an international star of the past

Would like to see Regal go in too now his in ring days seem to be over

    Is this Steve Blackman's year?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,225 ✭✭✭Daith

There's enough material for Liz to go in by herself and not as Savages accessory tbh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,301 ✭✭✭✭gerrybbadd

Liz definately deserves a spot in the HOF

Well for practically all of her time in pro wrestling she was either his manager or in the same faction(nwo) and yes Ive no doubt she could go in on her own but the two are linked as you ask most people about macho man they also remember elizabeth.

    Ok so we've
    The Dead guy - Macho
    The Celebrity - Arnie
The turnaround story - Scott Hall or DDP???????
The Midcard guy - Rick Martel or Tito santana (are either of them already in!!)
The female - no idea at all....
The non WWE guy(s) - not a clue
The non wrestler guy/ manager/ Valet - Good oul JR (he could be in there already!!)

Thats generally the break down on things isn't it???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,837 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

JR is in. And Scott Hall went in as Razor Ramon.

Is Alundra Blayze in yet? Or still trouble over what she did on WCW?

    Sting and maybe Dudley Boyz?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,333 ✭✭✭brinty

    Cheers Castor
wasn't sure who is or isn't already in there..
Good call on the Dudleyz, there's generally a tag team goes in to and with Bubba Ray back last night could be a signpost re the Dudleys with Sting surely being the non WWE guy going in..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,272 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Just about to post the same about the Dudley Boyz being the tag team.

    .
WWE is planning to induct former AWA World champion Larry Zbyszko into the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame, PWInsider.com has learned.
Zbyszko originally trained under Bruno Sammartino and appeared as his protege, before famously turning heel on Sammartino, leading to a feud that culminated with a steel cage bout at Shea Stadium in New York City.

In the years that followed, Zbyszko had runs in the AWA, the NWA and WCW, eventually shifting over to an announcer utilizing his "Living Legend" moniker.

Zbyszko released an autobiography in 2008, has appeared at WWE Wrestlemania AXXESS events in recent years and is still a regular at all the NXT tapings in Orlando, Florida.

Zbysko definitley deserves to go in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,491 ✭✭✭thebostoncrab

Delighted for Zbysko, provided it's true. He is a big name that should have already been included years ago.

Seemingly Beth Phoenix will be the token female inductee. An excuse to wheel out Edge to induct her possibly.

I'd be surprised if they don't induct Sting this year. Can't see them going with a deceased star attraction. I'd like to see Vader go in too. Just had a look through the HOF there and I think the two glaring omissions that remain after Macho are Rude and The Bulldog. Hopefully they'll both get their spots in the coming years.

Why's it an excuse to wheel out Edge?? Or am I being stupid? Are they an item...
She's no place in the HoF before Ms Elizabeth (don't think she's in yet)

PWInsider.com has confirmed that Kevin Nash will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next month. The current plan is for Shawn Michaels to do the honor.

WWE is teasing that a tag team will be announced this Monday. The word we are hearing is that the team will be The Bushwhackers, Butch Miller and Luke Williams, who had a nice run in the late 1980s and early 1990s for the company after runs in Stampede, the NWA and Mid-South as the Sheepherders.

We have also heard that plans to induct Larry Zbszyko will likely be postponed this year after final decisions were made on the class of 2015.

Nash's speech will be really good and The Bushwackers music is class. Hope everyone in the theater does the dance.

The bushwhackers were my favourite tag team as a kid... Wouldbe brilliant to see them in the HoF
