Not sure if this conversation is in Kilingon but FWIW one of my strangest experiences came when I posted the following

Sound of life support machine switching off?

Received the following - e-mail if you don't mind - from a Moderator

You have been infracted for ignoring a moderator's instructions.

Discussion can become heated, we don't object to that, but when a moderator issues a warning on a thread to reign things in, it stops a heated discussion from turning into a mess.

For more information please refer to the Boards.ie FAQ.

If you wish to appeal this infraction you can see details on how to do so here.

Come on, just how sensitive does one have to be?

Rain things in? Rein things in? Sorry, just trying to understand

Considering how I was treated during my "I found a Safe" thread I can only call them nazis! The power clearly goes to their heads and they think they're gods.

Not all of them of course.

Yes I agree, he was a saint in comparison to the AH crew. Now if one of the lady Mods wishes to punish me for that commentary. Please deliver it in-person and ensure you are suitably attired.

I just copied and pasted the message - I didn't compose it, can't talk responsibility for the spelling.

Some mods are good at what they do, others are not. It's like any thing really where you have a lot of people doing it. Some are over zealous but most are not. Either way, it's an essential role on a forum.

    As for that admin shower....

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
