Sound of life support machine switching off?

Received the following - e-mail if you don't mind - from a Moderator

You have been infracted for ignoring a moderator's instructions.

Discussion can become heated, we don't object to that, but when a moderator issues a warning on a thread to reign things in, it stops a heated discussion from turning into a mess.

That would have been a PM which the system automatically sends when a mod warns, infracts or bans someone.

Don't speak Kilingon so unfortunately I can't help you there.

Mods on sport forums seem fine to me. They're needed when supporters start getting into arguments that interest no one. Thankless task being a mod IMO.

Thanks for the clarification - still think it was wildly OTT, automatic messages are not "one size fits all".
