Hey lads, has anyone used the above ammo? Will be used for foxes, cats ect and the odd targets. Seems good value at €45 for 50 rounds and maybe get a bit of a discount if i buy a few boxes together

Are they any better than the Hornady? The steel match are HP, but are what, €25 or so per 50?

They are a very accurate round out of all twist rates I have not used them on foxes yet but other lads tell me they are great at it The steel match are also accurate but are hard to find at times.

I used to always buy hornady for my swift and when I got my 223 i used the hornady again, they were fantastic but pricey, got stuck one evening for some ammo and all I could source was the fiocchi, I havent looked back since, great accuracy and value , you cant go wrong to be honest

If I'm thinking of the same Fiocchi rounds those HP ones are muck. 2 lads I shoot with both with .223's swear by the Fiocchi V-Max and got a box of those hollow points while waiting on a shipment of V-Max, they were horrible, loads of misfires (literally half the box) and wouldn't group consistently after 150 yards!

They will cycle through my tikka t3 but out of half a box I've had 2 duds. Won't use anymore of them.

Worse feeling in the world when you are on an animal and pull and just hear click.

Yeah it seems to be just the tikkas that have a problem with them

I have used Hornady v max since I got tikka and never a bother with them. Think I'll stick with them but the steel match are not for me.

i have used alot of fiocchi v max and hornady steel match in my 223 t3 shooting rabbits and fox. I find both equally great rounds. the fiocchi are dearer but i find the hornady steel match harder to find dealers who have them
