I get your point, but you couldn't level that accusation at Fergie, he rebuilt the club from the ground up when he came in, sold on the majority of the squad he inherited and built his own team and style before having success there.

Edit: Unless I misunderstand and you mean he never really sorted the midfield after they left? Though I would still have issues with that :)

I think wegner was very unlucky with his career I do agree he is very stubborn tactically wise, but he made Arsenal a force finacially like Ferguson did with us. He kept them competitive when they were paying off the stadium and if it wasnt for the billionaires that bought Man city and Chelsea he'd prob have a league title or two more and def more cup wins.

lol at English teams in the CL this year. Such great pretenders.

A half decent team should have run away with the Prem this year. It's so bad, they should put an asterisk beside the Prem this year. As for us, we're utter shyte. If Fergie was still here, we'd have it in the bag already, even minus the +200Mil spent by Moyes/LVG since.

Has anyone ever won the Premier League title by the end of February before?

    Nope. Stop talking nonsense.

Someone could twist that against fergie as well with the likes of beckham and Giggs etc

It's easy to point out mistakes over 20 years

How? Fergie joined in 89, Becks and Giggs were only kids no where near the first team

I was being facetious but a Fergie team would mop up this year. That there are 4 points between 3rd and 7th makes it "exciting" but in terms of quality, every team(bar Chelsea to a lesser extent) has been awful overall.

And fergie could win it in the first 10 minutes with cleverly and Anderson in midfield

Sure wouldn't Fergie have it won before a ball was kicked by glancing at his watch and then staring down Mark Clattenburg.

I'm just commenting on how poor the league is this season, which it is. Poor quality as shown by the supposed best Prem teams in the CL.

Fergie did win the Prem with Cleverly and Anderson in midfield so what's your point?

They played 4 games together that year, 2 of which were after the league was won, but sure don't let reality get in your way.

    noun
    1. A portable container for holding liquids, characteristically having a neck and mouth and made of glass or plastic.
    verb
    1. To **** up a relatively straight forward last 16 Champions League tie through atrocious finishing and poor closing down:
"Arsenal just ****ing bottled it, that's my accumulator out the window for ****s sake".

Reality is that in 2012/13, Anderson played 17(9 started, 8 sub) and Cleverly played 22(18,4).;)

Looks like another Pogba situation. Real shame. Could come back to kick them again

Except he has shown nothing like the potential or ability Pogba showed of course.

Zeki Fryers will probably end up being a more apt comparison.

don't know why, but really looking forward to the game this weekend. Have a good feeling about it, no van persie and Wilson will force van gaal to play rooney up top with falcao. Mata hopefully will start the no 10 role, with di maria Herrera supporting and blind at the base of the midfield. think we could finally click this weekend, we owe some team a proper hammering. Im going to go for a 5-0 victory

agreed - never been sold on the kid. Not too gone on any of the attacking talents in the youth side at the moment. People who watch them more rave about Pearson and a few others. Pearson seemingly doing well on loan. Carrick-esque midfielder.

Haha, hopefully so! Sunderland are a terrible team and if we cannot beat them we should just pack it in. Would be great to see us play well but I wouldn't be holding my breath. I'm going 3 nil with herrara, Mata and Rooney getting the goals.

The only way to find out if they are thrown in the mix. Janko could be a good option for RB going forward, looks like a strong player who push for a spot next season. Pearson should also be an option next season if given the chance.

seen Bolton the other night, Janko was playing for them, didn't know he went on loan

Apparently the league is only ****e if United win it, otherwise it's deemed to be exciting.

I don't think United owe anyone a hammering on recent form... That being said you're 100% Gonna give Sunderland a hiding.
