Are people really that surprised by our form? We started the season and prepared the squad using 5 at the back and tried to play a compact game in the middle in order to protect a injury hit and out of form defence. Only in the past 2-3 weeks have we changed back to a different variation of 4-4-2 and each time out the formation looks slightly different.

Van Gaal really needs to get Di Maria and Herrera integrated into the team over the next 3 months. I don't buy the notion that Falcao and RVP can't play together. The whole team can't play together at the minute becuase we have very little confidence and have no rhythm in our play.

Harry Kane is the real deal imo.

If Manchester United pay money for Harry Kane just so we can take Falcao or Van Persie and cram them in to midfield as well I'll ****ing cry.

I just think the road the glory is littered with the careers of young players (especially young British players) who had one good season and then faded back into relative mediocrity. Could be that all his stars aligned this season.

If he's still in the same form 12 months down the line I'll be wiping egg off my face, but I've just seen it happen too many times.

Tbh, it sounds like you just don't have an opinion on the player. Do you really have nothing behind your opinion beyond "most young players fail, therefor he will probably fail"?

Really liking Kane, he's lighting up the premier league at the minute. He comes across well in interviews aswell, seems to have his feet firmly on the ground. Good luck to him, hope he lives up to the expectation.

His form kind of reminds me to when Bale dragged them into the top 4.

Youth cup match against spurs is on

    Yep.

Well at least you admit it. I suspect a lot of people expressing opinions on players simply do what you're doing while pretending that they've watched the player and put thought thought into what makes the players good or not.

Nothing about what I said indicates that I haven't watched the player. I've also watched plenty of other brilliant young players who failed to maintain their early promise. Ergo, I'd be of the opinion that three months is not enough of a sample size to be getting super excited about the next big thing in English football. This is a perfectly reasonable opinion to hold.

I tend to be slow to administer praise, and also slow to turn on someone who has previously shown themselves to be praiseworthy. It's how I roll.

I agree with you too an extent the English press tend to over hype English players all the time and are even quicker too knock them back down first chance they get the list of players that were the next big team and went on to be average players goes on and on and on. Even look at ravel Morrison last year played a few decent games for west ham and press were saying he was a bigger mistake on fergies behalf then pogba was then you have Stuart downing, Henderson, lambert albeit a bit older, rodwell, Sinclair, cleverly, smalling and jones, could list loads more.. But I wouldn't go as far as say Kane will fail I just think he needs prob himself for a couple year first.

Kane looks like a very good all round player. He seems to cover a lot of ground and puts in a serious shift. Way too early to justify paying big money for him and any transfer fee will incur the English player tax. No need for Kane when we have a prospect like Wilson who I think will be the business in time.

Very disappointing yesterday, once they scored though we looked 100 times better. Why we couldnt play with that urgency from the start is beyond me. Di maria is a huge disappointment though. Rooney is as useful as a tit on a bull in midfield. Its a shame to have a serious goalscorer wasting away in midfield when we are struggling for goals.

(they, England, are looking good up front at the moment, but lacking elsewhere).

Who else do they have apart from Kane (as yet uncapped) and Rooney ?
    I'm probably forgetting somebody

    Don't say Danny Welbz

    Ah yes, touché.
    Had honestly forgotten about him.

Only Crouch, Defoe and the like came to mind

I didn't mean to imply that you haven't watched Kane. But since you don't actually have an opinion on the player it's of no particular relevance whether or not you have watched him.

Some press saying that Real are turning their attentions to Courtois as they think De Gea is staying put :D

Makes less sense, he only signed a new 5 year deal so would arguably cost more than De Gea.

FWIW, I highly doubt either will play for Real at any stage of the their careers.

Home and away form this season is the opposite to last, we were better away last season and this season we've a lot more points coming from home games

Some stuff coming from Di Maria:

Ángel Di María on life in Mcr: "I am very well. The weather is the only thing. It doesn't help a lot."

Di María: "I'm very content here. The people have a lot of affection for me, which is the most important thing."

Di María on his English: "It's very bad. [I've learned] very little and only understand a small bit."

Di María: "I'm trying to learn it bit by bit and I'm taking classes. Hopefully I'll pick it up quickly."

De Gea left United in my Fifa 15 career mode for the same reason.
