Blind to replace Shaw in Wednesday, with Herrera coming in for Blind in midfield ?

    Maybe Januzaj dropped as well

Januzaj, is awful, I'd have him no where NEAR united. ZERO end product when he gets in a position and chooses the wrong option 9 out of 10 times.

Blind and Herrera should be in midfield. For LB we have Rojo or Young. Rojo is a very good LB with Smalling and Jones as CBs.

[quote="bangkok;94210664" slow making substitutes, was clear at half time our 2 strikers were being showed up by west hams strikers, Wilson should have come on, pace energy, but no, van gaal waits until the 70th min and brings on fellaini so we can put a few hit and hope high balls into him[/quote]

Don't forget bringing Smalling on in the 94th minute to make sure we got the point, a substitution that Fergie would never had made.

Evans in my mind at the start of the season should have been the backbone of our defence. He has been terrible this season though and I'd love to know why be has regressed so badly.

Januzaj has talent, the kid needs a loan move to Everton or Stoke to get some game time in a team that uses proper wingers or somewhere to get game time in a number 10 role. Don't see him being good enough to displace Rooney/Mata in that role at the moment

Yeah was a big fan of Evans when he played with Vidic and Rio. Rated him as future leader of the defense but he is anything but. Always makes mistakes and moans at other players.

You know things are bad when a Sam allardyce team plays you off the park and calls you a long ball team after the game.

We are the worst team in the whole world. Literally.

    He should be our manager.

An outstanding goalkeeper is the difference between United in 4th and United in midtable. The tactics and style of play LVG employs for the players ye have is appalling to watch.

People have every right to be pissed off and even question whether LvG is the right man for the job. I'm not going to write him off just yet but he has a lot to do to win my unquestionable faith.

I thought he would have the balls to drop big names if he had to but seemingly not. Playing Rooney in midfield is so wrong and infuriating to watch. The football is awful, if it was another team I'd have turned that game off yesterday.

All our rivals for top 4 are playing much nicer football but more crucially they are all on the up, Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool have all improved hugely in the last few months while United are stagnating IMO.

All 3 start back into Europe in the next 2 weeks. Arsenal will be OK, but I think the Thursday nights will affect Liverpools and Spurs results. Meanwhile even playing as rubbish as we are we should be winning our next 3 games. Burnley, Swansea and Sunderland.

You watched the world cup right ?

Yep - he was fine - not exceptional but any stretch of the imagination. Scored an extra time goal - lets raise the bar for ourselves here.

Anyone who expects Di Maria to turn it around and become a Man United superstar is going to be disappointed.

For all the money that LVG spent Blind is the only one that has worked out. The rest I would happily return for a full refund. Rojo isn't too bad, but he isn't great either and looked unfit yesterday and couldn't keep up with the attackers. Shaw could be a decent player, young and has the ability but he's gone backwards under LVG. The same can be said for most of our young players, Jones, smalling and Jacuzzi.

This would be my stance too.

There is reasons to be concerned, but the reasons are being absolutely blown out of proportions in the worst way possible, and in the process, people weaken their own arguments. Using terms like "worst player in the world" to describe Fifa Team of the Year player DiMaria just makes me roll my eyes, despite the fact there is probably aspects of his game that need improving.

You can make a point without engaging in the most hyperbolic of hyperbole, because when you do, you just come across hysterical and spoiled....

We have so many top players and so many options it makes a brother sad to see how poorly we are playing.

Fair enough, Di Maria doesnt give you much to work with, I understand.

the most infuriating thing about van gaal is he never on the touch line during a game EVER.

I mean if thats what you find infuriating then I dont know what to say.
Its a non issue and just points to people letting their emotions rule their head, wanting to see managers jumping up and down on the touch line.

Because all these top players are played in a way that they can't perform to their best or set up team in a way that players like Mata's strengths are nullified.

Van Gaal plats with 3 strikers, if he switches to simple 4-2-3-1 with Herrera Blind midfield, Di Maria, Mata, Januzaj behind striker and Rooney as lone striker that would solve most of the problems. We have pace, width to hurt opposition and Mata can spread the game well with wingers.

Taking Rooney out of midfield and partnering him with one of Falcao or RvP would go a long way to fixing this. Why it can't be seen is bizarre. That decision may well be the reason we don't get top 4.

I think our recent run of 1 loss in 15 or whatever it was allowed can gaal to try give Rooney time to develop into midfield. He had slack as we were still winning to keep trying it.

Just trying to be devils advocate

Rooney will never be a good enough midfielder for this club or most clubs for that matter, he just doesn't have the attributes.
