    Bony to Jovetic if he features at all today.

    Azpilicueta being rotated too much for my liking,might swop him with Terry or Cahill.....he's not starting AGAIN today:(

    Thinking along the lines of ings to kane and azpili to JT

    REALLY?! I avoided bringing JT in this week as I expected Azpi to start. Knowing my luck, the week I make that move is the week JT will be rested - or worse, injured. DAFUQ :-/

    Depending on how Costa gets on today, it'll be him in for Bony.

    Eriksen to sterling I reckon and then wildcard time.

    Benteke scores today and he'll be in the team before Bony plays tomorrow.

    Eyeing up an 8 point hit to do

    Chadli -> Fabregas
    Costa -> Kane/Pelle/Carroll or £8.7m A.N.Other
    Bony -> Benteke

    Back to the drawing board.....

    :rolleyes:

    Gonna bank it this week I think.

    Chances of Clichy starting for the next game? I'm getting hammered with rotation at the moment.

    Same question for Oscar...

    Might finally be time to get rid of Albrighton and bring in Super Georgie Boyd :)!

    Chambers to someone, not sure who, my instinct is to buy in a cheapie.

    Banking transfer ahead of the ACoN

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,415 ✭✭✭OneColdHand

    Have 2fts. Will do chambers to someone, possibly john o shea. Might also bring jovetic in for Rooney. But need to ponder that one!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,589 ✭✭✭✭Necronomicon

    I've been planning on Yaya to Silva with the ACON looming, but with Yaya's rest today I think I'll give him the new year's day fixture and then do the swap.

    Is Chambers out of favour now?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,215 ✭✭✭G1032

    Azpi needs to be moved on but surely he'll play the next day.
    RVP needs to be moved on but I think I'll keep him until WC also.
    Bony needs to be moved on but that can wait until after his last game.

    I don't know if I'll make any transfers.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,502 ✭✭✭spock.

    I'm going to leave the WC as late as possible. Thinking if doing:
    Giroud-->Kane
    Cattermole-->Sterling
    I would be benching Kane next week.

    Terry in, Demichelis out.

    Going to bank the transfer or bring in jovetic for benteke. Waiting a couple of days before deciding!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,747 ✭✭✭Ziegler1988

    No clue what I'm doing yet, Clyne definitely out and Clark came off with a bad back would leave me with two defenders. I'm wildcarding straight away so am also open to a punt.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,215 ✭✭✭G1032

    Just had a look there on FFFix

    Costa has 75% ownership among the top 1000 players.

    According to the FPL Stats man extension (the guy from here who has the Chrome extension) 80% of the 30 in my main league have Costa.

    I think I'll have to do RVP to Costa. I really can't afford to be on the wrong side of a big Costa haul. Far too much damage would be done.

    Same as I think, then Yaya and Bony to Costa and someone I'd say, Chelsea home to Newcastle that week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,762 ✭✭✭jive

    If anyone has news on jovetic feel free to post it up ;) got 30 mins today so surely he's ripe for a start next game. Can't ignore city offence even if yaya stung me bad today

    I'm in trouble with my defence...

    Am I mad to be considering Skertel?

    I've Hutton, Clichy, Clyne, Moore and Chambers.

    Clyne out, Clichy subject to rotation, Chambers dropped, Moore not starting.

    So I'm looking at Clichy (hoping he gets the nod), Hutton and Skertel.

    Had similar dilemma this week myself, had to drop Jagielka for someone and next 4-5 fixtures with some goal threat and secure first team place led me to Skrtel. Didnt see myself buying Pool defender anytime soon!

    Eriksen to sterling I reckon and then wildcard time.
    Id a look at the next few weeks fixtures and looking at my squad. I reckon for the first time ever I wont be playing the wildcard at first available opportunity. Eriksen to sterling as planned and then Yaya to fab the week after.

    Will bank and then need to decide whether Costa+Sterling or Fabregas+Jovetic will be the right move from Yaya+Bony.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,274 ✭✭✭✭FHFC

    Probably Bony out, Jovetic most likely.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 974 ✭✭✭internet_user

    either bank it or finally get rid of moore or cattermole

    Not convinced by Jovetic, I'd rather wait to see him actually do something of note before taking the plunge on him

    Further to this....I have 3 defenders I am happy to play next GW and just realised my only active GK (pantilimon) is away to Man City next with a few bad gaes to follow, Might bump Elliot up to Green instead.

    Yea same here, I'm even making the same transfer as you this week. I'd forgotten about the wild card until you mentioned it, I'd prefer if we didn't have it this year as I can see me making changes just for the sake of it.

    I've Panti and Elliot too but think I'll just play Panti and hope he can rack up some save points.

    I always wait as late as possible. I usually find my team is set up how I want it after Xmas as you get so many transfers in a short space of time.

    This season, Aguero is due back in late January so holding it also suits.

    I would do that too but after City he is home to Liverpool than away to Spurs....anybody got an update on when Elliot might be back?

    It was reported that both him and Krul are expected back mid January.

    Correction Elliott towards end of January

    Yeah, be interested to see if he looked in any way sharp coming on today. Anybody see the full game?

    Banking it is also an option.

    It says the 17th on the site but Krul could be back by then too. Just looking at what would be the best partner for Panti rotation wise...either Green or Guzan I guess.

    Will probably end up doing Yaya to Silva a week earlier than expected.

    I'm hoping Bony scores tomorrow to give me a reason to keep him. I still don't know who I'd replace him with.

    Might have an issue with Clark already and discontent with RVP continues and Bentrkers could have been a mistake but I may bank again and have 2 while many use their WC. Not doing anything until New Years Eve anyway though

    Re Clarke:

    Clyne is also going to miss the Arsenal game:

    So currently have this team:

    Fabianski
    Skrtel Terry Bertrand
    Eriksen Downing Hazard Fabregas Chadli
    Austin (C) Kane

    Szczesney Clyne Sakho Ward

    Thinking of getting rid of Szczesney and replacing him with Pantilimon. Then thinking of getting rid of Clyne and replacing him with John O' Shea and bringing in Rooney for Sakho. Would then play Rooney instead of Chadli probably or maybe Downing. Could also replace Eriksen if I were to get a player that cost more than Rooney. Thoughts on this?

    I can understand trying to bring Rooney in because of his price relative to RVP and Uniteds form but he really is playing deeper.
    If you are comfortable paying 10.7 for a forward who is essentially playing attacking midfield then why not! Cant help thinking Di Maria at soon-to-be 9.4 might be better value for money when fit.

    Could always get rid of Eriksen to afford Van Persie, Falcao or Costa. This would probably be better I would say?

    If I was you, I would work towards getting Aguero with your wildcard in Jan.
    Chadli could go, and certainly too much spent in defence and gk. 2 reasonably premium gk is overkill, for exampe u can have courtois for marginally more than either of your current gk. or gk like Panti is decent value for money.
    2 Southampton def is overkill now that their exceptional cleansheet spell is well gone. Ward as 5th choice def also too expensive.
    Just my 2 cents! (5k rank to prove not totally brainless :P)
