That hifi shop in Shop Street I mentioned had a whole computer game section down the back with various computers on demo. Lots of point and click games if I remember right.

O'connors of galway... What a shop... All my early computer and console stuff. Was bought there.

Galway was the GOAT for arcades. The Funland above Supermacs in Eyre Square got everything. They switched back and forth between charging by the hour instead of by credit. Being able to play an hour of all the major pinball and 50 different arcade games, later on including dedicated machines like Daytona for like 2.50 was a good deal.

Don't know if you remember future zo e in eyre sq. Had big leather chairs with both a snes and mega drive and you could pick from a menu what game you wanted to ay. When you got fed up they brought a different game. Plus they had one mega cd which was mind blowing in 92 or thereabouts. €2 an hour.

That's the name! I gave one of these into the charity shop the other day which I'm pretty sure I got there.

Remember walking into town with my mates with that on my shoulder feeling super cool..

I don't remember Future Zone in Galway but they had one in Ennis. You could hang on the couch in the lobby reading game mags. They had two albums playing over and over Blackstreet and Enigma. It was indeed mighty impressive when they got the Mega CD.

There was another place across the road called Gamesmaster. Rented NES and later SNES games and they'd Street Fighter & Snow Bros arcade machines. Closed abruptly after the owner hung himself. :(

There was another Future Zone style play consoles by the hour place in Galway over by Mary Street or Market Street or that direction. It only did Mega Drive. Remember going in there once and playing a bit of Populous.

I'd be rocking along, in my Joe Bloggs jeans, Global Hypercolor t-shirt and my Naf-naf jacket on, pair of Jordan's in my feet, listening to S'Express and 808 State on my Aiwa Walkman, Gameboy in my pocket..... Good times.... :)

    I'm going to assume that's a compliment!
1991 Ciderman was a bizarre creature by today's standards but not atypical for it's time.

Finally got some play time traversing Pennsylvania this week in Pittsburgh.

    XhjRjqL.jpg

Got my ass handed to me on the pins, mainly Game of Thrones and Walking Dead.
Wasnt too bad at the Xmen pin.

Also even got time for Blade Runner 2049, jaw dropping good, loved it.

Thats a nice line of candy!

I found the xmen pin like that too, I wasn't scoring high on it but the games just lasted ages on it.

Yeah the shots for the walking dead were difficult and its constant multiball so i kept ruining my shots.

Xmen though had a good layout i thought as an amateur.

Game of Thrones is complicated so would take a lot of play i guess.

After the release of Mario Odyssey I'm trying to avert my gaze from a Switch.

I have a PS4, Xbox One and a Vita with a huge backlog. That wouldn't be too bad but I also have a 9 week old. Wife will kill me so better keep the head down!

What's the premium you'll end up paying doing it that way? I'm considering it too.

They still charged me €3 for withdrawing the ad.

20% but only if you take ages paying it back.

I've already put €50 back into my credit for it... and as soon as the cheque from the shares that I sold recently comes in I'll probably have it paid off before I ever hit interest charges.

We normally recommend bank or credit Union loans in PC B&U as the APR is way lower than a company's financing option

Credit Unions are usually fine with very small loans too. I think I got a 250 euro loan when I was a student so I could buy a kindle.

That's the way I'd go if the credit union hadn't already been kind enough to loan me money before and I'm still paying that back.
