Superb console for shooters and arcade ports. Had a RGB modded Duo-R a while back, not the prettiest looking machine but the games were excellent. Didn't get to play it much so passed it on but it was one of the systems I made sure to get working on the Pi3. Aside from shmups the Bonk titles are good fun, Splatterhouse is awesome, Devil's Crush, plenty of others.

So to put the Megaman 2 debate to rest that I had during the week (is retr0gamer a sham / is it lag) I played a bit of the famicom this morning with the framemeister and had no problems with the Dragon bit whatsoever. Really amazing how those few frames of lag can totally mess you up when you really don't need it!

Edit: seems a lot of people are reporting the lag issue.

I'm hoping that an outpouring of love, affection and Red Dwarf quotes will draw him back to the fold.
I mean, honestly, we only just got Sparks to start posting again, it's not like we can afford to lose regulars!!!
Plus, it was always handy to have an A&R man in our corner "upstairs" at Boards.ie Towers...
But, I'm sure he will adopt his new persona as lurker and we will be here, slagging Retr0 for liking Llama dating sims, O1s1n for his habit of dropping expensive things during moving and Sparks for his secret love of Repton.....
If I left anyone out it's because I'm in work and I'm supposed to be prepping for a meeting, not typing messages to you shower!

You're that man now, Mr CMod, given that Mr. E doesn't really spend much time in this part of gaming!

right. so Fiona and I are off to the US in a few hours. We'll be heading to the Retro World Expo once again at the end of the trip . Before that though, no fixed plan, decide on right or left at the begining of the day roam around the back roads on along the coast north of CT.
expect a lot of thrift store & pawn shop find pics once more :D

Currently getting to the end of putting in movement over sloped surfaces in my game and it's given me a greater appreciation for the Sonic megadrive games. It seems simple but coding it is insane. At least after this I'll have something to give to people to test movement and tweak it.

If it's the same as the other ones, it's pretty damn tasty. A bit expensive though.

    Yes. It's glorious.

Actually found it tastier than the last few times I've been in Belfast and Boston...
