    "Clean sheets are falling,
    All Around me,
    Austin’s playing,
    Having fun.

    It’s the season,
    Boyd and Siggy,
    Merry Christmas everyone.

    Time for parties and celebrations,
    Fabregas assisting all night long,
    Time for Bonuses
    And exchanging transfers
    Time for signing Alex Song.

We’re gonna have a goalfest tonight,
I’m gonna find that captain underneath the captain’s poll,
We’ll shoot up the rankings right.

    Momentum’s swaying, Hazard’s playing
All the goals, we love to cheer
All I wish that everyday was FPLmas,
What a nice way to spend the year.

We’re gonna have a goalfest tonight,
I’m gonna find that captain underneath the captain’s poll,
We’ll shoot up the rankings right.

    Clean sheets are falling,
    All Around me,
    Costa’s playing,
    Only scored one.

    It’s the season,
    Baines and Downing
    Merry Christmas Everyone,

    Oh Merry Christmas Everyone

    Ooooooooooooooooooooh

    Yaya’s getting suspended,
    He gets done.

    Merry Christmas Everyone,
    Merry Christmas Everyone

    Oh Merry Christmas Everyone

    Ooooooooooooooooooh"

Probably not quite up to last season's festive offering but it's something to really kick start the festive fortnight. I was tempted to do "A Christmas Andy Carroll" but I don't have him :pac:

Here's to another good gameweek for the FSA :)

    2 quick questions:

Forster (at home vs Everton) or Heaton (away vs Spurs - extra save points maybe???)?

Dummett at home vs Sunderland or Clyne at home vs Everton ?

At this moment have Forster in goal and Dummett on with Clyne benched.
    Have I missed anything?

Something to look at ahead of GW17:

    Morning

    Going without City cover
    No hits for once
    RVP captain

Not going to see the City game and won't be able to get updates. Maybe it's just as well.

    I've chosen Coloccini over Wisdom

    Team for the week:

    Hart
    Yun Taylor Baines
    Sanchez Downing Hazard Yaya
    Bony Austin Carroll(c)

Brought big Andy in this week and giving him the armband, only 1.9% ownership so a hatrick from him would be sweet :D

    De Gea
    Clichy, Azpi, Yun
    Silva, Yaya, Sanchez, Hazard
    Costa, Austin, Giroud(C)

Going to try and not cave and captain Yaya before the deadline, the captain poll is worrying me though.

    Hazard Sanchez siggy Silva
    Costa Austin(c) benteke

    Jakupovic yun cattermole Moore

No standout captain choice, hope Austin does the business!

    Guzan
    Bertrand - Cresswell - Azpili
    Yaya - Erikson(VC) - Sanchez - Hazard - Siggy
    Costa - Austin (C)

    Jakupovic - Wisdom - Dummett - Ings

    Come on King Charlie!

    Hart
    Zaba Ivanovic Dummett Cresswell
    Yaya(c) Hazard Sanchez
    Austin Benteke Giroud
    (-4)
Double up on city defence and Yaya captain. This week could get off to a great start or an absolutely terrible one. Cmon city!

    Lloris
    Yun - Terry - Zabaleta
    Sanchez - Eriksen - Hazard - Downing
    Bony - Rooney (c) - Austin

    McCarthy - Boyd - Naylor - JOSH

Got Rooney in and handed him the armband, he's got a great record against Villa. Just hope RVP, Costa and , especially, Yaya have quiet weeks.

    no city players atm

Last week of my pre Xmas mini league, 37 points ahead, hoping to collect my first ever cash prize from FF,€240.

    Adrian
    Baines Terry Yun
    Yaya(c) Sanchez Hazard Eriksen
    Rooney Austin Bony

Tool a -8 to block Bony and Yaya.

Silva and Zab in for Oscar and Duff.

I'm not certain that will repay itself this week, but it should over the next 4 weeks, which is all that matters.

Sakho owner here. He is a great shout for this week but after it's Chelsea away and Arsenal at home. TBH I regret not having gone for Bony instead.
City have wonderful fixtures. Siggy has not scored away since GW1. I'd go for option 1.
Why Nasri though? Because you don't have the funds for Silva or Yaya? Or because you rate him a little more?

Strong side. 29 pts ahead now should bag it home for you . Your only worry may be a Costa masterclass... which is nowhere near expectations.

Morning lads, here's how I line up:

    2ce4db8b7e2b86b3298c44d3c1be273b.png

It's Cresswell's last week of a 3 week gamble that has of yet didn't pay off (though he was unlucky not to score last week in fairness).

Chester makes his debut in my team as I go with Hull's nice fixtures over the next few weeks despite their form (just a cheap gamble really), but probably a certainty to get his 5th yellow now today :pac:

Silva comes in to my side as Manchester City coverage. I'd love to get a defender in too so may try to work something out with Cresswell going this week.

Van Persie nicks the armband ahead of Austin, which means I'll be watching Aston Villa v Manchester United at 3pm.

The vast majority of the big boys away from home so I'm going to predict a pretty low scoring gameweek.

    Good luck all. :)

Thank you for reply. I don't really rate him but can't afford Silva or Yaya on a straight swap. I could buy Silva on a hit and swap Ings for a v cheap striker Kane Ayoze or Agbonlahor maybe. What you think?

    O come, captain Yaya,
Come and score a hat trick.
Penalty, free kick, or even from open play.
    Assists would be nice too.
    Don't get a yellow card.
    O come, captain Yaya,
    O come, captain Yaya,
    O come, captain Yaya,
    And score a hat-trick.

    Forster
    Chambers Dummett Taylor
    Eriksen Yaya(c) Hazard Sanchez
    Austin Costa Rooney

    Bench: Wisdom, Boyd, Moore

Decided on Yaya for captain. Hoping the 12:45 curse doesn't strike.

I was a bit torn between Chambers, N.Taylor, and Wisdom for two starting berths. Went for Chambers and Naylor, mostly because I can cheer for an Austin goal without cannabalising one of my own clean sheets.

Well I have to be honest I can't stand Nasri at all. He's a disgrace to my country.
But, we have to be pragmatic with this game and even I did and still am considering him. Last year he played 3 games and featured for over half an hour in the 4th during the festive period. He seems to be on form. So not sure Silva is worth a 4 pts hit compared to him. FFS have him playing upfront too. And Adebayor is back fit so Kane may not be such a great idea ahead of Christmas.

To summarise, I don't think any of the cheap alternatives to Ings are really worth Silva > Nasri + 4. Agbonlahor could be the best one but Villa ain't scoring much.
To phrase it differently, if you go for Nasri, can you upgrade Ings?

    Gonna be:
Heaton (purely for save points. Can't see a cleanie here)
    Clichy - Ivanovic - Jageilka
    Eriksen - Sanchez (c) - Siggy - Fab
    Austin - Giroud - Costa

Still unsure about the captain choice.
I have a feeling (wishful thinking more like!) that Liverpools defence will be rumbled by Giroud and Sanchez. But I'm also doubtful that Sanchez will last the 90 now that Walcott's on the bench, and Sanchez is used to a winter break...

    Edited to add:

Subs: Foster, Dawson, Wanyama (not playing) Duff (not playing).

Going with RVP as captain. The one thing that scares me is having no City coverage. I'm bricking it there, but I hope Palace can be my heroes for the week and at least somewhat keep them at bay. Well, keep Yaya at bay anyway. Milner can score all he likes. :pac:

I bought RVP in last Sunday with the intentions of keeping him relatively short-term. I *hope* he can repeat his last two GWs and get a nice score otherwise there will be no more knee-jerk transfers for me!

Torn between kompany/ Siggy out to either:
    1. Zab and Silva
    2. Yaya and £5m def

    Tick tock...

Yes but would still need a hit as I have just one FT. I would have 6 mil so Sakho Cissé or Austin would seem best choices.

    I'd do 1.

Just about to do Kompany to Zab. Think he'll play at least three of the next four and will score at least 1 goal.

Had a dream last night that George Boyd scored a hat trick......

Thanks.. Are you goin with any city attacking coverage or holding off for now?
I could do Kompany to Zab for no hit but worried about having no city mids.
