GW 12 match day thread

I've been getting away with not making the best of decisions with regards my captain choices, but I've only just noticed that I have been inside the top 10k since gameweek 2.

According to that stat tool, the difference between my highest possible capt. points VS what i actually got is 150 pts. Those 150 would leave me on 861 points, overall, which is 54 more than the lad in 1st place! This game would drive you bonkers sometimes.

Your highest possible captain points include Dier / Chester / Chambers random runs of 10+ points. No need to look at these "tools" at all.

I've kinda gotten used to having it now and having endless possibilities each week. Plus it's shiny

Ultimately I've been happy enough to coast the last month or so. It's there when I need it.

Now you might as well keep it till the Jan WC. And if you play the latter well with the little pinch of luck that helps you might be on to something huge. Chances are there'll be only 1 DGW this year (I can't remember exactly why, think it's linked with FA Cup games being played at a different time than PL ones this year -- anyway busts knows ) so with your WC in hand you could make some serious ground at the end of the season.
I've been playing like that for 2 years before adopting the early WC last year. I did make huge ground during these end of seasons DGWs, not enough to make the top 10k (started too far behind) but still.

Last night could not have gone worse. 4 points from two players. I finish on 40 points and fall from 27k to 35k. 2.2 mil GW ranking, my worst by far of the season.

I'm hoping now though that the flip in the fixtures for some teams will catch a few out. One lad jumped above me in a private league because his backline was Krul, Dummett, Clyne and Bertrand - 29 points!

That Saints goal was a killer. The two players anyone who doesn't have didn't want involved.

I'll be dumping Forster before the weekend. I'm not actually sure he's that good a 'keeper. MoTD showed earlier in the season where he made a lot of dodgy saves in a game (nearly missing the ball, letting it bounce off his chest etc.) and it'll be interesting to see how he does in his next few games.

He's had a period of games where there have been very few shots at him but he's now going to play the bigger sides who will retain possession and should be putting him under pressure.

Ended the week on 19k a rise of 9k places. Still so bunched, dropped from 12k to 19k overnight mostly thanks to clyne. A good (or bad) Xmas period will change a lot

So this week was a disaster thanks to last night. The lack of returns from Forster and Pelle, combined with the Clyne/Bertand goal, turned what would have been a bad week, into a disaster. Finished on 34, and dropped from 10k to 20k. There's always going to be a week like this. I know my team is still decent, so I think I just need to not panic, and hope to make some of it up next week.

Think I'll get rid of Forster. But I think Pelle might have to go too - he really was poor last night.

Last night was horrendous. Sold Clyne last week in order to fund Sanchez, so that late equaliser really hurt. Ended up on 40, dropping from 13k to 18k. Really have to stop the slide.

my front line of Costa aguero Rooney meant my mid is weak and without baines playing I got a score of 33
its seems crazy but I am almost certainly selling costa for bony .
one goal no bonus again and I won't captain him for next few weeks
bony will match him and I'll upgrade tadic to haz and a Wilson to azpil

47 brings me down from ~3k to ~4.5k, though I have held top position in all of my main private leagues and just a small drop in the other leagues.

I'd have taken that all day long given how the gameweek started. A nice parting gift from Bertrand who I have replaced with Azpil.

Another gameweek done and dusted and now we start to have midweek games and the busy Christmas period. Bring it on

EDIT: I think it really sums up the gameweek when I see that my score of 46 was 1.6m ranked yet I somehow managed to rise.

I'm in the same boat! (scored 34)

Dropped from overall 1.5k to 2.7k

Had plenty of injuries and frontline didnt perform neither did my expensive mids or my defender.

Not too worry tho, I'm in a fantastic overall position and my fall of only 1.2k places after such a terrible week implies that not many of the chasing pack in behind had great weeks either!

Overall the big guns will fire and they will put distance between the majority
