Going to go for that Gamestop deal myself. Will I be able to plug in my external hard-drive from my old console into the new one and just have it work or will I have to download everything again?

Couple if questions from a potential newbie: with the latest offers in Xbox s, how much room would be left on a 500gb box if I were to download Fifa 18, fh3 and hot wheels?

Also, if downloading a game that takes up, say 100gb space, is that 100gb against my monthly broadband allowance?

Forza with hotwheels is around 58GB, Fifa is around 43GB. You'd have around 200GB to 300GB left, it's a bit awkward space wise as the system reserves a chunk of the internal harddrive (there's also differences between what a hard drive producers say and what a system reports, it's a pain).

I took those sizes from the microsoft site, so they should be accurate, but may only be approximate.

Downloading a game will definitely eat into your allowance, and generally speaking, 100GB size means 100GB gone from your allowance.

Also, it's super easy to upgrade the space on your Xbox as well, just connect a USB3 hard drive. 4TB drives often go for around €100 or so.

Looking to change my external drive. Currently have a Seagate with external power supply which is causing problems. Randomly it is not detected when xbox is booted up. I have to plug it out and in again. It also goes to sleep after a period of inactivity, causing games to freeze while it whirls back up mid game.

Anyone any recommendations for a replacement? I'd be looking for high performance to go with the one x. Usb powered and no falling asleep malarkey.

Anyone know a good monitor for xbox one s? Setting up a desk for PC\xbox, is there anything I need to look out for with the one s?

Won't buying one but I'm definitely curious to see what's new. Ergonomically the Xbox controller is probably the pinnacle of design and function as it is already. Kinda hard to see where they can take it.

They'll improve the bumpers and triggers and probably upgrade the grips.

Much of it has leaked actually, ages ago now.

    The main ones are:

    More stops on the triggers
    More profiles
    Variable tension thumbsticks
    USB-C for faster charging

Main thing why I want one are those exta paddles.
I hope they will keep 150eu price and not jack it up.

Hope this is correct location. Bought our young lad 2tb external hard drive (Seagate green Xbox type) for Christmas. He dropped it and now wont work. Is this worth getting checked out / repaired or just get a new one I assume any USB 3 hard drive of say half a TB or more will work ?? I tried my one one that I use to back up my own laptop but I gather the Xbox wont share the external hard drive and is prompting to format ?

You could always try and take it apart and re mount it in an enclosure, but tbh, it's probably goosed and as easy to replace.
