Picture Thumbnails not showing on some pictures.

As per the title i've started a new picture album, and uploaded pictures to it, and to my existing album. However all pictures are showing up as the title of picture as it is saved on my laptop, and not a thumbnail. Also as i deleted the cover picture of the "Diagram/Stuff being sold" thread the picture now replacing it, that does not show as a thumbnail, has left the album cover picture blank. I can fix this by choosing an old thumbnail picture so not a concern.

The existing pictures that were showing as thumbnails, still are. Just wondering is it the site, my settings, or can anyone shine some light on it. It's not a major issue, just a pain that i have to click on some pictures as i don't name all my pictures, or name them correctly, before uploading.

I have not changed any of my settings, for the site, in some time. I'm "computerly challenged" so please keep any tech stuff to a "for dummies" type language. I've attached pictures below to show what i mean.

We no longer support any new additions to Picture Albums unfortunately. You may have missed this announcement back in March 2013.

I did miss it. My reason for posting was i have been uploading to my albums for years, and since March last year without issue, including as recently as 4 - 6 weeks ago without any issues.

I now know it's been in the pipework for over a year, but was this only implemented in the last few weeks? I did not realise so few people made use of the albums. I presume attachments are the "way forward"?

No, it has not been implemented recently, you shouldn't have been able to upload to the albums at all! I shall have to check that out.

Just done a quick check and other than the three uploaded yesterday (that did not have thumbnails) i've been able to do it in March, July, and October of this year. All with thumbnails, hence this thread.

Also should i delete my albums, and just use attachments from this point on?

I've just checked the same and the thumbnail seems to be the only aspect not working, the rest of the functionality is all still there.

Seems the Hamster fell off the wheel or someone just didn't push the button back in March last year.

If i have it, and Spear, then the likelihood is it's available to some, most, all people.
