It's that time of year again folks. The Autumn Internationals are upon us. Yes I know your first thought, just like mine was "Are we going to play the fantasy game again this year?"

    Well yes we are :)

Anyone who has played previous games has probably received an email but here is the website anyway

    http://espnscrum.fantasyleague.com/

I've set up an FSA Boards.ie League and the pin is:

    74971

We have until 2pm on Saturday to finalise team selection. Teams will only begin to be announced for the weekend from today onwards.

Hopefully we can get a decent number playing again this year. Autumn International fantasy rugby is serious business folks :pac:

I ignored it but I will probably enter a team. Remind me who the past winners were, I believe I won one of these???

I can hardly remember to be honest. I know I won the Lions game last year, and if I had to guess I'd say you won this thing last year. Think I was relatively close to winning the overall Irish Times 6 nations game too.

I'm not all that bothered about this really but I'll pick a team for the 1st weekend anyway. The prizes aren't half bad for a little game like this either with a TV, PS4's, Ipads and vouchers on offer

Not entering this as honestly I don't know enough about rugby, but would be great to see another fantasy sport with genuine interest on the forum. Saw the promos for it on the fantasyleague website where I play their FPL game, does it seem well thought out and challenging to those who know their rugby???

It's basic enough but for a bit of fun for a few rugby weekends it does the job.

The 6 nations is usually more tactical as there isn't unlimited transfers like this one has.

As my FPL interest has grown it's after eating into my rugby time unfortunately. I don't recognise half the French backs, although that's not totally unheard of in any given year :pac:

    Completely forgot about this.

Just entered a team bat out of hell seconds before the deadline... Not sure all my players will actually play and my last changes were taken into account. We'll see.

I'll enter the FSA league later.

Come on France please don't make us the laughing stock of the rugby World for once ... and alternatively make my selection shine :D.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,305 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Prodston

Israel Folau with 2 tries already. Rhys Webb with one for Wales 14-7

England putting it up to NZ too 8-5. May and Cruden with a try apiece.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,262 ✭✭✭iroced

France with a good perf. Finally :D.

Just saw now that you posted all the teams line-up Mr. P. Was so much in a rush didn't see it  :pac:...

Will prob have a couple non-starters since I used the autopick and quickly made a few changes (e.g. saw that Parisse worked a treat ).

BTW my team is Last min bat out of hell XV :pac:.

    ahah... lol...

Made my team at 13:57 (French time) on Saturday so just had the time to rush a couple of players in after using the lucky dip button. Got Fofana, Lopez and Parisse so don't just count your chickens yet :P and be sure

Actually just checked that twitter link and it's on tomorrow:

But ESPNscrum haven't updated anything regarding the fantasy game deadline
With unlimited team changes available until Italy face Argentina at 14:00 on Saturday, it's time to prepare your XV for the weekend's matches!
It might be the first time Sergio Parisse isn't in a fantasy rugby team of mine if it is called off eek.png
    Same here :pac:.

(*) By the way the Italy XV is the following (one change from their last game):

Italy: 15 Andrea Masi, 14 Luke Mclean, 13 Michele Campagnaro, 12 Luca Morisi, 11 Leonardo Sarto, 10 Kelly Haimona, 9 Edoardo Gori, 8 Sergio Parisse (c), 7 Simone Favaro, 6 Alessandro Zanni, 5 Joshua Furno, 4 Quintin Geldenhuys, 3 Martin Castrogiovanni, 2 Leonardo Ghiraldini, 1 Matias Aguero

Important Information - Italy v Argentina.

Due to recent flooding, Italy v Argentina, originally scheduled for 14:00 on Saturday, will now take place on Friday, 14 November at 16:15.

To give all users a fair chance to make team changes, this match will no longer qualify for points for the ESPNscrum Fantasy Rugby game and the deadline to make any team/kicker changes will be 14:30 on Saturday.

2 hour alert for the deadline.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,746 ✭✭✭Swiper the fox

I watched most of the Welsh game because I had 4 Welch fellas in my team, at one stage Jonathan Davies said it was two minutes of his life he wouldn't get back after a long review. Well it's two hours of my life that I won't get back

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,262 ✭✭✭iroced

Ah Damn ! That Faletau denied try is a blow... though was rightfully denied.

I switched over to England v SA at half time and didn't look back :pac:

No sign of my Munster bias in picking Kilcoyne, Tommy O'Donnell and Zebo for the Ireland game :pac: My big call was whether to go for Carter or Madigan but I'd be hoping Keatley gets a decent run out tomorrow.

Hmm... Just seen I kept Kaino who's not even on the NZ bench :o... Down to 14 I go...

Heh I've got Thrush in my team I think so that was a bittersweet try!

What a try by Thomas ! Should have also followed this bandwagon  :pac: ...

    --- edit ---

Another convincing win from Les Bleus. That'll largely make up for my poor fantasy team result :pac:
