Brendan Rodgers has never managed a win against Chelsea.
Need some serious panda power to get the job done...

It's cruel and spiteful bringing Borini on in the 90th minute. I don't like that trait in a manager. It makes him look like the big tough boss but all it really does is harden Borini's resolve to leave on his terms i.e. to the Italian team he wants to go to for a low ball transfer fee because LFC know if they don't take it Borini has the resolve to stay and wind down his contract.

He's a poor player I couldn't care less to be honest. He has shown very little in any game this season.

Creating chances has been a huge problem this season and we have created loads in the last 2 games with sterling up top. Rodgers has got that much right for me anyway.

If wouldn't make sense to leave one of the World's best keepers on the bench. So yes.

Peter Cech will be cup tied for that match.

Doubt he'd oust Brad 'best in the world' Jones anyway.

Hopefully that experiment ends soon. Mignolet is not the answer long-term but Jones is hopeless.

I we want to win it we'd have to face Chelsea at some stage anyway

Nice win, comfortable enough, just switched off at 3-0, some slick play, plenty of pace and trickery in the team, was a good team selection.

Markovic is showing glimpses of his ability, Lallana was pretty good too IMO.

    How was PSV vs Feyenoord?

The first leg will be played in the week of January 19, with the second leg a week later.

I get that, thanks, I'm just trying to figure out when we find out what specific date that week it'll be on...

Not if we'd have gotten Sheffield United and Spurs knocked them out.

I actually thought you were at it, there was some amount of chants in support of Rodgers.

Sterling should cause Arsenal alot of problems with his speed. Mertsacker is very slow & Koscielny is injured.

Delighted with the draw, will make for a much easier final.

Much better performance tonight but you'd have to expect that.

Markoviec played well but I'd worry about his defensive capabilities if the same team and system lines out Sunday. Both of their big chances in the first half came down his side.

    At last some positives though.

A cup match but nevertheless has to be positives from tonight.

Faster pace, Sterling scoring, and Lalanna and Markovich looked good.

Still can't defend and Rodgers has to rethink the keeper situation.

He may have wanted to make a point and shake Mignolet out of a sense of complacency but Jones is not really good enough to keep him out of the team.

I thought markovic was awful , a few nice easy passes but was slow and pedestrian and no willingness to break . 2nd half is all i saw though

He was average at best in the second half, he did have a good first half though, some nice moves, took his goal well and assisted the assist for Sterlings first!

He's got to be played off the striker, he can't defend worth a damn no point in asking him to.

Cool ,but i didn't think so but I'm in a minority so i'll accept it . But i didnt notice him as a attacking threat at all in the 2nd half
