    One week to go!
We are totting up the raffle prizes. It's in the high thousands folks.
We have a ton of eliquid, literally.
Samples on hand throughout the day from Craft Vapes (USA), Oil Company (USA), Decadent (UK), T-Juice (UK), Cloud 9 (UK), BioFumo (IRL) Atmos, and many more. We have juice for everyone. And that doesn't necessarily include the vendor booths themselves, where there are hundreds more options from Irish and UK retailers.

Decadent Vapours will be there to mix up free eliquid samples for you.
T-Juice/Halcyon Haze will have free juice for the day.
ifancyone have a cool Wheel of Fortune; get a spin for freebies with every sale at their booth.
Abstract Vape will have loads of bespoke wooden mod stands to house your gear. If you have more than 5 mods or attys, (lets face it, we all do) you owe it to yourself to put em in a nice wooden stand.
Vaper Holster will be there with their leather mod holders, (which I didn't realise how handy they were until I got one).
Shaun from Phoenix eliquids & El Science in the UK will be in attendance to give you the low down on everything thing contained in eliquid. Molecular level stuff. He's putting his 2 PHDs to good use testing eliquid from all over Europe so no better man to ask if you had any questions. Check him out at the Phoenix booth.
Vaporium, one of the largest retailers of eliquid in Ireland will be there, now's your chance to try that flavour that you were looking at online and wondering what the fuss is about. They have a cloud comp also at their booth at 3pm.

We have a Juice Bar this year on rotation, every 30 minutes it will be curated by a different vendor showcasing their favourite eliquids. It's a great opportunity to sample new flavours from these vendors. We will have drippers on hand to make sure you lose none of that flavour! If you haven't used a dripper or other tanks it will be a great opportunity to try that also.

We have 2 mixing workshops hosted by mixologist Luke Bolch from Decadent. He knows his stuff.

We have so many prizes that we are having 2 monster raffles. One at 2pm and the other at 6pm. Raffle tickets will be split into beginner raffle prizes and advance raffle prizes to make sure everyone gets what they want. We're talking, Axis Mods, Hana Modz, Provari P3's, Vaporsharks, iSticks, Hyperions, eVic Supremes, Tanks, Hellfire attys (new dripper potentially making an appearance at Vapefest Ireland 2014). List is pretty huge. Check it here: http://www.vapefestireland.com/raffle-prizes/

We have a bring a fried incentive where if you bring a current smoker along you'll both get free juice courtesy of Cloud 9 Vaping and Bio Fumo. (more details on this next week - strictly limited offer!). We REALLY want smokers to come this year and hopefully lead them into a smoke free 2015. So, please encourage your friends, work colleagues, family members to attend. It is 100% free, with freebies throughout the day.

If you have time, we would really appreciate you printing a poster and sticking it up on your work notice board or local shop (inside a premise only, outdoor posters are a no go). Here is a link to the posters for print: http://www.vapefestireland.com/vapefest-posters-printing/

The limited edition tees are almost sold out but you can snag a pre-order here before we close it off on Monday at 2pm: http://www.vapefestireland.com/vapefest-ireland-tee-shirt-pre-order/

Safe to say, I'm looking forward to this! ;)

How much are the raffles tickets?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,201 ✭✭✭quintron

€5 per ticket or 5 tickets for €20.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,035 ✭✭✭✭J Mysterio

Cheers, the prizes look amazing. Looks like it's worth going for the freebies and raffle alone (!), though the vendor list is impressive too.

Good opportunity to try all these liquids you hear about but dont want to risk forking out for a 30ml bottle of something you might'nt like.

The shirts look cool too :pac:

Is their a reason for this? It's much harder to get local shops to display inside and the supermarkets cut yo down to postcard sized thingies.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,201 ✭✭✭quintron

Hi Tommy. Yes, the reason is that local councils can, and will fine for any unauthorized exterior fixings, including posters. Its under the littering laws. I learned the hard way many years ago. Even with permission from a site owner, if the poster falls off, for whatever reason, it becomes 'litter', and every piece of litter equates to a fine of €125 (in Dublin city for example). So, the potential for fines are huge, we have literally no money. We couldn't contest anything, Councils usually don't listen in any case, because litter is litter, damage is done. It comes back on the hotel, and consequently us. etc. Hope that makes sense. Long gone are the days of postering all over the place. But we appreciate what anyone can do!!

Quick walk-through of Vapefest Ireland 2014 posted here. Lots happening on Saturday! If you have a significant other who doesn't vape, drop them at Liffey Valley Shopping centre and head over! It's a win win! :)

Ahh ok so inside the window or in a display case like some centers have is k just not plastering the place with bills. I had some idea it might be some extreme advertising ban. My misunderstanding.

Yes! The free brochure you get on arrival has offers by vendor in it. And I know that Decadent Vapours and Emporium Vapour are both doing deals on mixing kits. Lots of offers and special discount codes.

Just back from vape fest, very well organised and great set up, hand full of free juices too, if anyone walked out of there without at least 30 ml of free juice then they did something wrong, the vendors were all very generous and very friendly, big pat on the shoulder to the guy who started it all 3 years ago.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 481 ✭✭nuttyboy79

Some nice juices to be had, some great discounts got an iStick for 30 quid. Only bad thing was they could have done with more space loads of people there and I found it hard to get to some of the tables.

+1 on the space issue.. i was amazed at the attendance and the array of different devices ppl were useing. Id say i spent more cash than anyone else there. The grand sum of 2 euro on two bags of koh gen do;-). But i did sub my bro 50 for an aerotank mini, heads n some juice.

Had a good day looking and tasting.

The highlight for me was the plumes of vape pouring out of the building non stop

Fantastic day, agree on the lack of space but still well worth it, tons of free juice too always a win :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,674 ✭✭✭DirtyBollox

Unmitigated disaster of a day, yes I came away with a load of free stuff. And bought everything I needed but yet again I won nothing on any of the 4 raffles :(

    Fantastic day!
Aye seats were an issue but I believe that that's cause the hotel didn't supply a whole lot really.

Big congrats and we'll done to the lads who organised the day. Lots of thought, stress and hairpuling involved though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,035 ✭✭✭✭J Mysterio

Holy fecking **** I came away from it with the most ridiculously massive haul of liquid.

    240 mls of Nicquid
45 mls of The Oil Company
    30 mls of Phoenix
    30 mls DEA
    10 mls Tootin Juice
    10 mls Decadent Vapor
    365 mls!

    3 Atmos concentrates
    100ml PGVG Base 20mg
    100ml of 'Balanced' 0mg (?)
    100ml of 'Glycerin' 0mg

The Nicquid and the Oil Company stuff from raffle win, the rest free.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,674 ✭✭✭DirtyBollox

From what I gathered the 100 balanced is a 50/50 mix of pg and vg.

It's from atmos if you want to double check it.

I was just reading the instructions in the iStick, they're hilarious:

"iStick is an knock-out product implementing the latest technology with a mettalic appearance. Its trait is the appearance artful, easy to take."

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,035 ✭✭✭✭J Mysterio

The funny thing about all the free liquid is tge idea is you will then go and buy from the company bit with all this free ****, I wont need to buy liquid again for frickin ages.

Best I could find an iStick for was €35, so I got an MVP 2.0 for the same price instead.

Wasn't sure which was better, but I think they're for different roles aren't they?

Also picked up an Aerotank 2, some coils, some Zeus Juice (award for most colorful range Ive seen) and had an armfull of Vaping Dog juice dropped into my bag for free. :pac: Happy out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,674 ✭✭✭DirtyBollox

Just had a quick look, turns out I managed to stroke just over 2 litres of pg, vg and nic... Few concentrates too

    Thanks Atmos! :pac:

    Nice haul JM,
I was gutted that I couldn't make it up but there's always next year.

Got it from Vapourpal they possibly sold out 4 were bought in time it took the guy to write my receipt. I have the MVP2 as well and they are similar in what they do except the iStick goes to a higher wattage and lasts a bit longer battery wise. You wont be disappointed with it, it's a great little mod.

Holy shet. Did you have a pal working there or what?

I was thinking of seeing can I get a bit more of the Atmos on the way out... but then I felt like a greedy fucķ and left it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,674 ✭✭✭DirtyBollox

No, I volunteered for it and was there this morning. There was still about 50% of the atmos stuff there when I was leaving at 7 or so.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,035 ✭✭✭✭J Mysterio

    Fair play!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,035 ✭✭✭✭J Mysterio

What I find strange is these bottles from 'The Oil Company'... A search on google brings no website and no results?

The lads at Vapefest were banging on about it being from California or whatever. Looks class and is branded well so its an odd one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,674 ✭✭✭DirtyBollox

Each bottle was hand painted too so I'd say it'd one to keep when it's empty

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,201 ✭✭✭quintron

The Oil Company is a new bespoke liquid from the people behind Reign Drops, Torpedo and other high end US juices. It's a high VG juice for dripping. Big hit at VapeCon in the US recently. Super limited quantities, hand painted as DB said. Pretty special shtuff! Angel Tears is fantastic in a dripper. They aren't online yet due to super limited runs etc.
Oh, DB you were a f**kin legend yesterday! Thank you!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,035 ✭✭✭✭J Mysterio

Thanks for clarifying that. I'm delighted to have received some and the bottles sure are nice. I just found it a little odd to not be able to find anything on the company!

Well done yesterday, it was a big success and those who went were certainly rewarded for it (vapers and vendors alike)!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,035 ✭✭✭✭J Mysterio

So, tried the three Oil Company flavours and, unfortunately, can't say i like any of them. Look pretty though.

The DEA liquids have impressed me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 792 ✭✭✭Didihno

Excellent day. Spent €80 only, which surprised me.
Got an Orchid v3, which aside from the awful filling mechanism is a brilliant atty, 60mls of my new fave juice, Dragons Blood and a bagful of free liquids.
I'm glad only a few could take credit cards as I might have made a few impulse buys!
Big numbers turned out and the atmosphere was brilliant.
You couldn't read the screen from the back of the room!
