There is a dpm tape called nbc tape (google it you will find it on brit surplus sites) you can oil your barrel and then put this over it, it sticks even over the oil.you can then spray your barrel or whatever is covered in the tape to whatever camo you want.we did a few of the AIs at work this way

Not the need to camo your firearm. Most animals will see, hear, or smell you far before they see your black or stainless firearm.

And it looks sh!te as well anyway, and could well reduce the re-sale value of the firearm.

Couldn't agree more with Clivej. MY mate used it on his barrel and it was a matt black, somewhat phosphatized, barrel. It still showed signs of rust even though he took precautionary measures.

Just pull an old sock over the mod, should sort your glare problem.

I use a black horse dressing over the mod if glare is a problem, its a kind of stretchy bandage that sticks to itself.
Shiny camo tape won't reduce glare, it reflects off the tape, black is best.
I got min in an equestrian shop for less than 5 for a good big roll.
It can be reused as well.

dont use the sticky sort of tape it will ruin a gun .as said above us a gun sock can be got for 10e in must good gun shops or get the camo tape as said its like a bandage that self sticks to itself it can be took off if needed and reused ive used it on my own gun and works a treat

Don't use it, it will destroy your rifle and as said animals will smell, hear you long before any glare would ever matter

Camo tape is the exact same thing as the horse dressing, just a bigger price tag on it.

It will soak up moisture and ruin a barrel though.

I wouldnt put it on the barrell but it's fine on the stock 1Gets a bit sticky after a year and a few wettings but when you take it off the residue it leaves behind is easy to remove with a damp cloth and a bit of elbo grease! Has its merits IMO as it protests the woodwork from sctatches!

There is removable, reusable camo tape that you can buy if you want to wrap parts to keep them from getting scratched.

As others have said, I would not leave it on for long.
