    Buy a political party.

A mere 1/4 million pays for a general election campaign.

    Power behind the thrown etc.

For years I'd been saying that if I won a euro millions in the 100 million + range I'd be taking a 2 week holiday on the International Space Station which costs about 18 million courtesy of the Russian Space Agency.

That was until I had a Homer Simpson DOH! realisation when commenting on the fairground rides on the Bray Seafront. "Jaysus, I do get sick just looking at those things...."

    I'd buy here:

Not sure if I'd bother buying properties in cities I like. Think I'd prefer to stay in luxury hotels and move around from place to place. Nice problem to have though.

Feck democracy with that kind of money you could raise an army and overthrow the State:D

I'd immediately book a one way ticket to Amsterdam, and stay there until I was in the mood to come home. I'd then return to Ireland and purchase a nice big house, in a suburb of Dublin, nothing too big though. I'd then invest in a number of more expensive houses to rent out. I'd probably build my own private zoo somewhere in the Wicklow Mountains, and employ staff to take care of the animals for me. Once I've grown used to the rich lifestyle, I'd probably buy myself into some university to finish my education, as a safety net, and to keep myself occupied, as I don't think a life of 100% leisure would be suited to me.

    Why ?

With 160m the interest alone would provide a ridiculous salary to live on ..

    Where to put it though?

I'd probably buy Irish gov bonds.
    They always pay up.

No winner of the €164 mill. One ticket bought in Ireland got €5667. 39 got €254. Most weeks the highest anyone in Ireland gets is around the €250 mark.
