Barry did his hamstring. There goes his chances of breaking back into the senior panel

The talent is undoubtedly in cork minors football but purely management I have no confidence or believe in them at all bar Dorgan
Said many times sullivan terrific coach beara senior coach county title twenty year ago but imo too old school in modern game
Judging by selecting this panel it is like last year better players not starting
One example was Desmond last year not starting original games yet this year gene driscoll etc has him under twenty one panel year after minor
    A terrific prospects imo

No surprise the backroom staff has two other club people of he's club with him

I'm not, as these are minors and I always belive critsom minor players you have be bit less blunt,so I'm not going name particular lads but there's a few starters imo who while good club players shouldn't start as imo their is better talent not starting that should be for cork

    It's an okay team
I could say there's few faults imo but one is Adam finnegan trained all year up last year didn't make cut but imo terrific player and a top talent that should be there

Madigan is very good prospect with buttevant and should start

Way draw is done cork only chance imo quatre final all Ireland is loose to limerick and then go through round robin avoid kerry til final but then imo not good either as hardly inspires confidence within
Once cork win tommorrow it's likely to be kerry in may

Cork should beat limerick but I would not be surprised if like Waterford last year cork struggled
I can't see cork beating kerry in killarney in may as not only is jack one greatest ever managers like him or not it's irrelevant but kerry with outstanding success of school last Saturday retain the all Ireland cork imo haven't trained to the standard of kerry or picked best talent available or while he once was great club coach, now sullivan is not imo best man for the job
    Should win tommorrow though

Barry did his hamstring. There goes his chances of breaking back into the senior panel

I wish him the best in he recover
Imo a terrific prospects at half back but not or never will be a full back
    Potential senior half back imo

I could do a realistic post regards the senior, it probably would be very long as imo their is a lot of problems within the senior team going forward in aspects of the game but I get the feeling there wouldn't be an appetite for such one as imo there's view cork are flying at present and all people want is positivity where it's not that I like negativey, but imo cork football needs reality in viewing the current league so far

I agree totally football in cork should get equal support but the problem is football due to the limited success bar the junior and the under twenty one, imo will unfortunately be the poor relation until success comes and imo that's why to get cork football back at the top where it deserves be, cork football needs realism and when necessary the view to call a spade a spade.

    Good luck to footballers tonight

I don't think Cork will play full strengt tonight as Limerick very very poor last year and footballers in limerick in shadow of hurlers

the real test will be against kerry if both team progress tonight and thatl be a different story

delited to see 4 Rochestown lads involved but surprised Evan Ryle not part of original 24 named

I'd agree but problem is look at the panel there's imo not lot scope huge improvement
Totally agree regards Ryle an outstanding player but shows my point this management I said day one are not up this level
There's imo four other top players should be starting
Kerry could beat cork handy I fear

Conor cahalane playing hurling only is huge loss football but he right choose one code
Tim foley huge huge loss also having went rugby and won leinster school with roscres captain them and is son great mark but some place kicker but huge talent rugby played Ireland also
Management are not to blame for these but other top players should be their
Limerick are starting to rebuild from years neglect so not real test cork but remember cork struggled beat poor Waterford last year

Looks like Pa Cronin will be fit for the semis. I say JBM will throw him on at some stage as it could be the last competitive outing before championship and Cronin will feature during it so he will need game time. Its good that the injury list is clearing up.

On another note, speedy recovery to Tipps Noel McGrath. the great Joe Dean made a great recovery from the same sickness.

Griffin from Rochestown a fine footballer who picked hurling over it - bid demands on duel players so can understand taking a stand on it

likes of Kingston launey under huge pressure

not sure about the lads picking rugby, plenty of rugby academy players would not make minor hurling football panels. Fair play to Tim Foley if thats his choice

I'm sure if alls goes ok tonite well see a different team v kerry the next day. limerick very poor last year and i was told dey had plenty work done then so ill be surprised if big performance from dem tonite

Eyan ryle drafted and will wear no 14 tonight in shane kingston's absence. Stephen Leonard starting instead of Kingston.
Not much of a football man but agree with you, surprised Ryle can't make that team. Has limitations but with good coaching would be an asset. If they have 24 better they're bankers for an AI!!!

Good luck to the Minors tonight ...i know its the same for all teams but surely there is a better system than this ...it might be better if Cork lost tonight .....REBELS ABU....

Unfortunately even if they wanted to they wouldn't lose tonight.

    I'd agree
I geuinely hope limerick give a good display and put up a good performance for two reasons
One I have good time for limerick football and would like them to do good

And the last thing I want is cork hammer them cork get a false dawn and think all is fine for kerry
I'm not quite sure this cork set up will learn lessons even so but at least a good showing by limerick would be better preparation for cork
I think limerick could give cork a good game and the cork team imo is not the strongest bar a few outstanding individuals

In the Echo Johnny Crowley said that Ellis might not be fit for the game at the weekend. huge loss if he's out as we all saw what happened when he went off v tipp. interesting interview in the examiner too wit Bernie O'Connor who reckons Cunningham is taking the newtownshadrum style of running game to Dublin.

Congrats to the Minor footballers on the win last night.

Limerick had a handy forward or two and they unsettled Cork backs with goals against run of play but ultimately Cork dominated in most areas and classier forwards - and this without Kingston and Bushe

Impressed enough with late replacement Leonard for Kinston, Eoin o Brien did well at midfield as did Dineen, Murphy at 12, Poweter of course at 5, actually with exception of being caught for 2 goals in first half Cork better all over the pitch

A better performance than last year for Limerick but still behind standard required - the losers group would appear to be th easier option so they may improve but can't see them progressing at semi final stage

Kerry must've taken foot off pedal second half only scoring 4 points in half against a poor Clare team - Clare didn't even muster a point from play

Cork Kerry game will be a cracker - hopefully Cork will have full squad to pick from

That's pretty much our championship team right there, possibility of one or two changes, maybe Cooper for O shea or Sullivan/Kearny corner back with MacDonald to FB, Cronin to be amongst the subs.
Strongest team we have at the moment and it would be great to lay down a marker now as serious championship contenders.

Im glad O shea is getting another run he was excellent v Dub the last day and hopefully he can build on previous league performances.
