    Neil Prendeville. No competition really.

He's a much better host, with many many years more experience.

And, he's just got the voice for it really.

Coogan is a real pain. Tries to hard, and makes a drama out of nothing.

I actually haven't listened to 96fm since Neil left it. Then again, I never listened to Redfm until Neil joined it, and don't listen to it once his show is finished.

for me it has to be Prendeville as much of a jackass as he can be.however I did find Coogan good when he stood in for NP on 96fm a few years back but now they have gone head to head Prendeville wins hands down.

Can't stand either of them, I'm afraid. Classic Hits all the way for me. Until the Niall Boylan show.

These kind of shows really grind my gears.

    Neil definitely.
Experienced, able to handle whatever comes. Do wish he'd do a bit less interrupting when the toic isn't interesting h too much.
Coogan on the other hand is irritating.

That voice. Shouting. Gets carried away over nothing.

Has NP changed though since his misdemeanour, he used always slate northsiders forgetting that he is a northsider himself well for the first 15 years of his life roughly

Much as I dislike him he's always talked about himself being a norrie, he's never hidden it.

The two of them could have a wankaton the winner is the one that cums first

Sure he tries to play up that he is a norrie, a real man of the people etc... In reality, it's a far cry from the truth, living in a massive house in Douglas, with the children attending press.

Fair play to him, there is nothing wrong with someone being successful, but he down plays this on the radio as he knows being a norrie wins more listeners.

Has to be Prendeville. PJ has ability but he tries too hard.

BTW can any say if the show is actually live or is there a time delay?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 326 ✭✭Level 42

Listening there to prendeville story about a homeless woman living in a car for the last 19 months in cork city so sad no accomadation provided for her utter disgrace by martin and his cronies

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 340 ✭✭normanbond

    Both are shocking.

    whinge radio and boring yap!!

Today fm is easier on the ear.

prenderville and coogan are loitering on the airwaves, are way past shelf-life and should have been replaced long ago!!

Derry o Callaghan on Sunday mornings is the pick of the Cork shows imo.

I tend to listen back to Neilo when the episodes are uploaded to Spotify. If you can wade through the fear-mongering from Neil and the incessant pleas for stuff from the callers (all who have underlying conditions of course) there are actually some decent pieces on the show. But jaysus Mick Mulcahy is an awful substitute when Neil is off. The man shouldn't be let near a live mic, especially when interviewing anyone. He keeps talking over the caller and the way he phrases things or asks questions it's not clear what point he's making. The man engages in the radio equivalent of click-baiting, comes up with sensationalist comments, and tries to put words in people's mouths.

Yes. Was masturbating with his trousers down around his ankles, the odious creep.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,772 ✭✭✭byronbay2

EVERY time Mick Mulcahy is on instead of Neil, he is GUARANTEED to use the (para)phrase “When will the Irish people ever rise up and get rid of all these politicians with their snouts in the trough” etc. at least once.
