10 home players, most in good form...so hoping for a bumper score all right.

To spice things up I am going on a media blackout today and will watch MOTD 'live' this evening without knowing the scores in advance.

I do it about once a month, nay bother!
It is a great experience, once the wife and kid are in bed, crack open a few beers and sit back and enjoy MOTD. Then check FPL scores, check the craic in here etc.

It really is worth it IMO and not that hard to do.

Turn of data on the phone and stay away from pcs and tablets...and switch the music in the kitchen from Planet Rock radio to iPod random shuffle!
My buddies know me well enough at this stage not to send spoiler texts etc.

I've 8 at home and all my bench are away.

After a successful enough wildcard last week and making my transfer early this week I've pretty much not touched my team since Sunday. Very odd feeling.

Jesus I wouldnt have picked today though, with the golf, hurling final replay and some great soccer matches on. Glued to the TV for the day is my plan, but each to their own

    Mannone.
    Duff, Bertrand, Wisdom.
    Sterling, Sigurdsson, Fabregas, ADM (c).
    Costa, Aguero, Pellé.

Fancy a big score this week.

De Gea and Wisdom. De Gea at home and I wouldnt put any faith in the Newcastle defense.
Wisdom is also at home, few clean sheets this season, and playing a team who's only scored 1 all season

I've gone De Gea and Wisdom. Newcastle conceded 9 goals in their last 3 PL games (they conceded 2 in the LC if I'm not mistaken). 4 games in a row Burnley have not scored. Of course, the way the game's going this year, this implacable logic could get destroyed after 1 min of playing :pac: ...

Looking at the fixtures, i found that my entire starting 11 will have played by 5pm this evening.
10 of the them playing in 3oc kick offs!

Out of these 3, what 2 would you play?

    Wisdom, Duff, Moreno

WBA are at home to Burnley. Feel really negative hoping for a 0-0 with Wisdom and Duff on my team, so no sure to go with Moreno against Everton and presume that he will get no clean sheet but some attacking points.

I'd say a 0-0 between WBA and Burnley sound smore probable than a Liverpool CS. But it's tough to predict CS this year...

As for myself, still debating whether to play Taylor or Naismith ahead of Pieters...

I would go Pieters over Taylor, and I think Pieters might get more (i.e. clean sheet) against a dour Newcastle than Naismith scoring/assisting despite a leaky Liverpool defense.

Assuming everything has remained as I hope I left it yesterday I should have 10 at home and Siggy!

    De Gea
    Bardsley - Clyne - PVA
Di Maria - Fabregas - Siggy - Ramsey
    Rooney - Pelle - Costa (c)

    Moore, Coloccini, Marney

On paper a good week so expecting things to go awry spectacularly :pac:

Sterling the big fear but a nicely rested Ramsey facing Spurs in a derby is no bad option to have, hopefully!

Mignolet, manquillo, lovren, skrtel, Moreno, gerrard, hendo, lallana, sterling, markovic, Balotelli
Subs: Jones Toure Enrique Lucas Suso Coutinho Lambert

Everton XI to face Liverpool: Howard, Hibbert, Baines, Jagielka, Stones, Barry, McCarthy, Besic, Mirallas, Naismith, Lukaku #LFCvEFC

    Mannone
    Wisdom, OShea, Taylor
    Fabregas, Ramsey, Sterling, Di Maria(c)
    Falcao, Costa, Ulloa

Majority of the team is playing at home so hopefully I'll get a good result. Love the fact that all the big hitters bar Liverpool & Arsenal are on at 3pm, should make for an interesting few hours!

With both teams defences been poor so far you wouldt hink there should be plenty of goals in this game. Mainly for sterling

Everton are playing 3 defensive midfielders so its clear their gameplan - defend and maybe sneak one on the break or from a set piece. Hibbert v Sterling could be a mismatch tho

McCarthy is not a defensive midfielder.

I'm also not sure if Martinez knows what defensive is! He just lived off Moyes' work last season.

1-1 in the early game with Sterling and Besic scoring. No assist for the Sterling goal and Barry assisting Besic. Sterling because i have him. And Besic and Barry because nobody has them.

Everton's defensive record was very good last season, in fairness to Martinez. This season is a different story so far! McCarthy for Everton has primarily been used as a defensive anchor - he has attacking strengths but these really haven't been used by Martinez. He may play a little further up the pitch today tho with Besic playing

Yep. Picked up a knock. Not even on the bench.

Not on the bench so must be

Now Naismith starts. The fecker will probably get a goal as well and Ulloa will score low, because that's just how this godforsaken game works.

Providing that the obvious ones score well, this should be a pretty high-scoring GW all round. I'm hoping to sneak into the top 25k this week.

Teams are very very similar way earlier in the season than I've noticed before. Great fixtures today for all my players but very hard to see who will be a differential. Best i can hope for is an unexpected clean sheet or GK save points. All my players seem to be highly owned.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,264 ✭✭✭✭manual_man

Ivan and Aguero are my differentials. Need them to start bringin' home the bacon

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,956 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

look at my rival teams, I need a no show from Costa today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

    Mignolet

    Bertrand Wilson van Aanholt

    Fabregas Sigurdsson Ramsey Sterling

    Pelle Costa (C) Aguero (VC)

Plenty of home players this week up against weaker sides so I'm hoping for a decent week. Hopefully the cheap defenders will do the business and the big hitters can do what's expected.

    Howard with 6 saves:eek:

Even if they don't keep clean sheet it is a good enough score for the owners.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,262 ✭✭✭iroced

Sterling could have scored at least twice. Don't like that...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,268 ✭✭✭IsMiseMyself

Liverpool have looked pretty good. They've just been lacking that final touch. They'll surely score.
