Galway is too cool for MTV.

Cork and Dublin are welcome to that shíte.

MTV were in Derry last week.

North West is cooler than both.

I remember MTV coming to Tramore for something about 10 years ago. Man, Tramore was a cool place back then.

I would probably have cared more if MTV was cool.

Teen pregancy must be on the rise faster in cork

That event goes to Plymouth and Derry before Cork.

This puts Dublin in the category of non-MTV-crash-event cities like Rio, London and Tokyo.

    Also, MTV is rubbish.

The last time I watched MTV Ray Cokes was still presenting. That's the MTV I know, and it was cool as fcuk.

What's an MTV, sounds like a transmitted disease.

MTV makes shows on the most dysfunctional, vacuous, brain dead people; how can you think that that makes Cork cool?

  • Moderators, Regional East Moderators Posts: 23,239 Mod ✭✭✭✭GLaDOS

    Lol MTV

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

He quit MTV after "the Hamburg Incident", did a show called Wanted on Channel 4, and then disappeared off the radar.
He's back doing stuff in Belgium according to his Wiki page.

MTV was never really cool. If it ever was, that stopped in the mid-late 90s. It's a joke these days.

A parody of it's former heyday in other words.

MTV is too old fashioned for Limerick. Let the republic of cork have it. It might boost their confidence a bit

MTV used to be quality, early to late 90's when music was actually good. (And they actually played music then).

If I thought MTV was cool I'd procure the closest shotgun and blow my brains out while jumping off the highest bridge over the deepest river I could find.

She was some pain in the hole on MTV I tell ya! Tried to be 'zany' but came across as just an annoying geebag!

MTV is coming to cork in a few months it seems. MTV claimed they had no interest in going to the Capital unless they were looking for heroin or a skanger accent ( Unconfirmed reports of this statement)

    Link: http://www.irishexaminer.com/breakingnews/entertainment/two-megastars-promised-as-mtv-comes-to-cork-643094.html

Will the superstars be crystal swing..or maybe jedward..
So there is no Heroin problem in Cark? I never thought I would hear myself say this but I would take a flat Dublin accent day over the Cark accent any day

I wonder if there will be many subtitles if talking to locals, or will they just omit interviews with thick accents.

The "music" is gone from the main MTV channel, should be Mindless TV. Literally not a single music program on today

I find the Cork accent mentally distressing to listen to. I can't watch the Sunday Game because Donal Cusack is on it with that accent. And I'm strongly considering leaving Electric Ireland after ringing their call centre and dealing with someone with a Cork accent so high-pitched it almost ruptured my eardrum.

Weirdly heroin wasn't much of a problem in cork while it was ravaging Dublin and other parts of the country, but it's seen a big increase there now.
