they are indeed. just 3 little buttons and 2 pedals. really feels like driving a car except more comfortable

They'd want to be if you're spending 8+ hours a day sitting in them

What way will it work is it like some companies where when you start you'll get the oldest buses in the fleet and work your way up or is it just random depending on what routes your on and is it a case of constantly being in different bus all the time although I assume most of there fleet is fairly decent. Best of luck with the whole thing anyway.

i've driven them all as part of training from 2000 - 142 including tri-axles around the city center , not hard at all !

and probably better than driving a golf.....

I seen alfa romeo alloys on a double axle trailer today I have to say thats not something you see everyday.

That's mental alright! The weird pcd usually puts most homemade trailer builder's off.
There is an old cement mixer on the uncle's farm with a matching pair of fiat ritmo alloys on it I must remember to get a picture next time I'm down there

I've been in the cockpits of a few newer buses and they would make any car seem like a bicycle in terms of technology all the buttons air suspension all the gauges and displays I'd imagine there newer stuff are a nice drive.

Best of luck KSL. Just one thing, don't be a dIck, most of the Dublin Bus drivers I've encountered were dIcks :D

Koppaberg you must add a motors sticker to each bus that you drive :)
Can we get him a detachable one or something :)

He's not half bad to be honest. Better than someone pumping ****ty music out of a phone speaker. :)

In other news I'm gonna make sure I have a tire iron handy around the car. Some dodgy guy was hanging around my apt car park and just standing there staring at me.

Right, so I made it back to Warsaw last night with no issues to report.
The car performed very well and the cruise control set at 150 was a treat :D
I filled up at the French/Belgian border for 1.21e (off the motorway of course) and got around 800km to the tank before I chickened out and filled up again.
From the border to Warsaw I did just over 850mls and used roughly ~66 litres so that gives me rough MPG estimate of 45/46mpg which isn't too bad I suppose for such a big car.
Didn't want to push it too hard cause of the chain but at one point I had to get to 180 just to move out of a speeding Germans way :)

Sounds like a great trip bear :)
You'll fly it coming home now when you have faith in the engine :)
    Enjoy man !

It wasn't bad at all tbh, even the ferry over was a doddle. No swaying back and forth.
Pity that it won't be on a road trip till about March but it gives me time to get it nice and ready. Going to be getting some quotes this week for the chain and also a full service as I don't trust the fuel filter to be genuine.
So far so good anyway :)
    Thanks man :D

Aw shucks! What's leaking? Having had everything cooling related out of the car, its not too bad of a job!

I was meaning to ask you actually, have you ever had work done for them before? I'm just afraid of being taken for a mug due to being a foreigner.
The wife will be giving them a call as well and the aim is to have the car into them or whoever on Friday.
There is a lad in Marki who is quoting max 500e for the job and he's supposedly well known in the Honda world around here.

The rad burst last Thursday which the previous owner replaced free of charge, he's going to do the cooling work for me too. It works almost perfect as is right now but the viscous fan isn't working properly so doesn't cool it effectively in traffic which caused it to spike sometimes, throwing on the heater full blast sorts it.

A speed sensor also seemed to fail on the way back from Dublin last night but the lights didn't come back on after I restarted the car.

having had a couple of cars like that recently, (my carina especially) you're better off doing the full rebuild and changing out the parts. If you don't you are in for more fun down the line!
