whoever "architected" those houses need a quiet word with themselves. the mock Edwardian panel door, imitation sash uPVC windows with that weird massive central mullion, the ridiculous pediment and lintel, half brick and half dash render... it's like they had to pick an item from their 5 favourite architectural periods over the last 3000 years and mish mash them all into one semi-d.

    jaysus.

A slightly lowered E39 came into work, I need to lower mine now. Eibach maybe?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,350 ✭✭✭Sobanek

    I wanted to buy that crashed E39... It was a 540i with a 6spd manual :(

Koni stuff isn't mad expensive and very good quality Fox!
Eibach are good in fairness though!
I have fk shocks in the back of the 36 and as far as i know they are a cheap brand, but they are comfortable even with a 60mm drop!

I'll have to look into it a bit, I mentioned Eibach as they seem to be the go to for BM's

I had Koni springs and shocks in my golf and Koni Coilovers in the Bora, i wouldn't put FK's on a wheelbarrow. As with everything you get what you pay for.

You can't go wrong with names like H&R, Koin, EIbach, Bilstein etc

Also, why are Golf MK.V's bulbs so annoying to change?

I believe we have some Bravo fans here, right?

    New 2015 Bravo for Brazil.

It's basically a facelift with new engines. There's a european (brand new) replacement being built in Turkey coming next year afaik.

Never had parking sensors. Never needed them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,306 ✭✭✭Mycroft H

Had them on the C5. Spent most my time giving out to them as they we're annoying. Beep beep beep beep BEEEEEEEEP. They did work though.

The Jimny really doesn't need them at all.

What? They're the easiest I've changed in a long time. Twist off the back cover. Twist the bulb holder, and pull it out. Put new bulb in holder, twist it in, twist on cover. Much easier than the usual crap of fiddling with a thin wire retainer while keeping the wire out of the way and then trying to fit it on after.

Yeah that's what I was doing, was not budging at all and I'm used to changing bulbs for customers :pac:

It was more one of the reservoirs getting in the way of my hand twisting further, either way, not my problem now :pac:

Had my first brown trouser moment (one of many more to come i'd say) in the new car, loss of power, jerking and general crappyness, so i pull in and scan the car, turns up as misfire across all cylinders, great!, turns out it was a loose pipe :o

Had to go to Ebay USA to find a 10mm square drain key. For fecks sake. Not a motor factor in the country had them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,291 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

    What car is that for

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,845 ✭✭✭Noccy_Mondy

The sensors work when you are about 4 inches from an object, it's the "build up" that doesn't work. Will try the wd40 tip. The arse end of the mondeo is very misleading when looking back, look out an you'd think you're about a cm away from something, get out and look, there's about a foot. I'm used to that now though.

The gearbox on the Jimny. Tried to use a 3/8" drive, but it was well tight so I decided to get the right tool in case I rounded it.

Today I saw a white MK4 Golf with two (yes, two) spoilers and euro rear lights. Didn't see the front of the car, but I imagine there was something just as bad done to it.
