    Have you considered a doctorate?

In my experience, asking for help and second opinions, although less frequently than in the workplace, is a crucial part of a PhD also. I only started making real progress when I realised the futility of deliberately not asking for advice or help from others, especially my supervisor.

OP, you have to change your mindset about this. Being a lone wolf is all well and good, but your recent experiences indicate that you have reached an impasse. If you're serious about being in any future IT role, you have to compromise. Asking for help is a crucial aspect of problem solving, the core skill of the role you're qualified for.
