    By popular demand?
I think you need to understand the mechanics of posting a thread with a poll.

What happens is the thread is posted and then op is directed to the poll and must then input the selections and then the poll is uploaded when completed.

Aware of this. Just ensuring that you were too. There have been some eager beavers in the past that start such threads and have no inclination or idea to add a poll.

    Thanks, BTW:)

I'm going with Naismith for the differential choice.

Surprised how many are going for the injured Costa (one of these days, he will actually be injured). Rooney for me.

Sterling is my choice as he could grab a few goals at Anfield quite easily against Villa. If Danny S is out through injury he could even be played as a second striker. I'm not touching United until they gel and hit some form.

Considering persevering with Van Persie, news of Costa being definitely fit would change that though.

I am going to go with my gut.

Dangerous game. Mourinho has shown that if there is a sniff of doubt about the health of costa he will play it up for tactical reasons. I think Costa is going to be a head wrecker all season for this reason. For me i will simply captain him. If he does not play the vice captaincy will kick in.

I just don't like the idea of me having a captain that may play either 20 minutes or 60 minutes.

Note that I also have to transfer Costa in if I captain him.

Fair point. If you don't have costa it's not worth the risk. If you do have Costa, like I, then it's worth risking the armband on him.

If costa is fit to play, he will play most of the game. He will either get 70 mins, 90 mins or none at all. I can't see any scenario whereby Mourinho would only give him a sub appearance at the end. Costa is essential to their team at the moment.

In the same boat. Depends on team news if it looks like costa is fit and Falcao will start ill transfer in Costa and make him captain.

Surely if it's 0-0 with 15 mins to go, he would be thrown on?

Edit: Or actually, any draw for that matter. Or, if they're a goal down.

He already has done- didn't score in the last two

If Sturridge is out then Sterling could be an option, he will probably play as 2nd striker off Mario. However Liverpool have struggled agasint Villa for the last couple of seasons and this match will be no walkover for them.

One goal from play in five if you include his two England internationals.

There is surely a goal or three in RVP. I brought him in with my wildcard last week and he actually didnt play that bad against burnley so Im hoping an all out onslought against qpr and if there is then rvp will surely be in with a good shout of a high points week. good for differentials also

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 129 ✭✭Liam2012

Are QPR really that bad that a struggling Man U are expected to destroy them? They just beat Sunderland and Man U's home record is shocking. I'm not too confident of their chances. I'm on wildcard and have used it to dump Rooney and Mata so far and will ship Jones if the press conference tomorrow rules him out. Might dump him anyway. If they start to perform I can get the form players in at that stage.

Edit: Please move this if it's the wrong thread.

Not sure what game you where watching but I thought vp was terrible.
I'm running with falcao his stats speak for themself and expecting to get at least 70 mins against a poor qpr side

QPR at home. First choice players coming back. Should be more stable at the back and midfield.

Costa injured. Sturridge out. City play Arsenal. Siggy away to Chelsea.

Don't want to abandon Costa but i am really leaning towards Sterling at home to Villa.

i think a QPR team who had one dire performance would be more accurate. simply calling them dire, after that one game, and 3 league games in total, is ludicrous

Was not under the impression that QPR v Hull was their first ever game. I thought I'd watched them lots last season and them largely unimpressive but it must have been all in my head.

Hope United win 3-1 with two RVP penalties and an own goal for caulker , late consolation goal for QPR to sicken those with de gea in goal.

it's only fair to judge them based on what we've seen this season. they've lost one narrowly, lost one badly, and won one narrowly. they were piss poor against Spurs, yes, but that's one single game so far. United were largely unimpressive last season, doesn't mean the same will be the case this year. both teams have alot of new signings. etc. etc. it's way too early to be making these judgements about any team so far (i could understand if they'd got hammered in all 3 games, but that clearly isn't the case)

It's not about what's fair, it's about what logical, and all signs have pointed to QPR being the same poor team they've been for a long time.

Putting every team on a fresh slate at the start of every season is not logical.

Past performance is a key indicator to future success. We are a full transfer window and 3 games in and there have been absolutely no signs of anything changing. Illogical to ignore that information.

So by that 'logic', Man United should have finished 2nd last season, and Liverpool 7th, no? Also, QPR won their last game, and are ahead of United in the table. That doesn't seem very 'logical' to me, yet its fact!

Well QPR have brought in Rio Ferdinand, Caulker, Mutch, Fer and Sandro. Isla and Vargas on loan too. That's quite a solid spine that they didn't have last season which can only change things.

They haven't re-invented the wheel but they should be stronger than they were. They switched back to 4 at the back against Sunderland after the 4-0 demolition by Spurs and won. In my eyes its not quite so clear cut

No, key indicator doesn't mean the exact same will happen. There are factors which create change, Ferguson leaving was the factor for United, Suarez being amazing was the one for Liverpool. Nothing really for QPR.

They aren't significant signings when you look at what many of the teams who were already better than them are signing, most notably this week's opponents, Man United.

May end up with balotelli capt as I'm fearful of Rvp starting and I don't have costa.Im also considering Fabregas. Bookies odds have balotelli and Costa shortest at 8/13 for anytime goal with RVP and Falcao both at 4/6.
