Posing naked

i was just reading an article about the fappening. It was talking about how empowering it can be to pose naked and how it's a feminist issue.

Ignoring all the political philosophy stuff and privacy issues, it got me thinking about whether I'd pose nude. I'm not exactly an adonis so I can't see anyone wanting to see me naked, but nevertheless I was thinking, would I?

Would you AH'ers? Assuming the photo's were yours and were secure somewhere (On a disk, in a vault, on a space station), would you consider getting artistic nudes done? I'm not talking about naughty snapchats, I mean professionally shot nude portraits. If they looked good enough, would you share them with someone or even with the world?

The phrase "Artistic nude" is just an excuse to use when you're caught looking at porn in work.

I'd pose nude any time, anywhere.
Wouldn't it be nice to enter my house and see a giant naked portrait of myself to greet my guests :)

I have no desire to see nude photos of my flabby hairy arse, so I see no good reason why I would subject a photographer to that horror nor hold onto the resultant abominations for later perusal.

If someone wanted to pay me for a still life class, I'd probably be up for it, but because it's money for (literally) nothing.

You could book Daniel Mark Duffy - he specialises in extremely shocking images, such as this one.

I've actually done it, not fully nude, but in just underwear and, well, hands....

I did it because I had major body image issues, someone told me I should go get this done as it is a really good way to feel good about how you look. They were right, I loved it. I love having the pictures to look back at (I got prints, not digital images) and I love how I look in them. I'm actually pretty proud of them. So yeh, I get the "empowering" thing, though I'm not seeing the feminist angle.

Definite confidence booster though so well worth it :)

That actually true. They are a fantastic confidence boost.

I think the feminist angle, is nudes are seen as "porn" and for men. (which apparently is negative for women, only showing them as sex symbols.)
but artistic nudes would be different, and more for the "woman"? maybe. I'm not too sure. I haven't read the article and trying to see this feminist angle.

Feminists in saying something nuts shocker.

The other day I was reading a similar article which basically said (although the author would no doubt dispute it) that because Keira Knightley has small boobs, photos of her naked, were really a feminist statement. I went Google'ing said photos (the uncensored versions) and as I later lay on chaise lounge, in a state of blissful post coital masturbatory tristesse, after having fapped myself into oblivion, one of the quotes from the article came back to mind and had me fall into an hysterical fit of laughter:
Anyone calling these shots ‘sexy’ is horribly, horribly misguided. To me, it’s clear that Keira hasn’t got her tits out for the purpose of male titillation.

Powerful, yes. Strong, yes. Feminist, absolutely. X-rated?

    Not even close.

And that’s why this is a victory for small breasted women.

I laughed so hard, my sock nearly fell off.

Many people around where I live have posed nude for me. I'm fairly sure if I told them about it, they would feel empowered.

It's always Page 3 or men magazines pointed out on these issues about a woman's body when women magazines are just as much, if not more, damaging to the idea of what the female body is supposed to look like.

The latest diet fad, how to get that beach body, lose that flab, diet, diet, diet..........here's an article on really chocolately sweets and cakes.............diet, diet, diet......

Totally agree. The only time I pick up a women's mag is when I'm in the hairdressers and within seconds I've put it back down and turned to my phone for some entertainment. They are pure poison.

That was very different, but certainly if I had not done the photo shoot ones, I would never ever have had the confidence to do the santa strike force one. Not a hope.

Night vision equipment and ninja suit. Surprisingly acceptable in West Cork.

Actually did one of those charity calendars a few years ago. It was for a really good charity so none of us minded being nude. Being in a group made it less uncomfortable in many ways.

Sadly, the object used to cover my blushes would now need to be wider and not in a good way...

Knowing I had to do it was hanging over me for weeks. Wasn't an enjoyable experience at all and not one I'd want to repeat.

I've no body issues and don't need to boost my body confidence, and I don't feel disempowered so I don't need empowering.

In the risk benefit/analysis I can't think of anything to put in the benefit column, and plenty to put in the risk one. So no.

They really are, well I'm talking about mens magazines of course too. Even aftershave advertisements have some ridiculously good looking photoshopped model who looks like he was made out of wax just reminding all of us how unattractive we are in comparison.

Yeah it's a joke alright. I can't understand why they won't use ugly blokes with a bit of a belly on them (like me) to advertise their grooming products

I am reluctant to pose for a photograph with clothes on! Off, and people would be paying me to put clothes back on!

I fail to see it as a feminist issues, especially in an era where men are almost as pressured to look like the guys who play superheroes and sportsmen.

I see nothing wrong with it, and off with people, but I hate the way people feel they have the right to judge other people for their bodies. Seriously, who the fúck are you to say if another person is attractive or not. Sure everyone can have an opinion, but I am talking about the ones who are like

"Oh God, they are too fat/skinny/etc. It's just wrong."

    "I dunno, I like that."

"No, what is wrong with you, you're wrong, trust me"

Only certain people should pose for a nudie. Some people like me just look better with clothes on. We can say it leaves more to the imagination or what not but we all know it's because we would give the camera a fright.
