Sorry if I'm hijacking but if you built a coldroom from insulated roof panels, which there are plenty of on done deal, and you just needed the cooling part of it how much do the units cost roughly?

It's much easier. I'm not sure how else or if you can even upload a video directly form your computer to Boards. It's usually done through Youtube or some other hosting site.

I did one recently for myself but did a slightly different approach that the insulated panels.

I built mine inside an existing outbuilding and built a small room with timber frames. All the sides and the ceilcing were heavily insulated, and the floor was raised and also insulated heavily underneath. I then slabbed all the walls using plywood panels, and covered the plywood with "coriboard" which is basicaly white pvc sheets which I got for nothing from my local centra (discarded advertising/promotion panels which they use regularly).

I did manage to get a cold room door on donedeal, which is vital I would say, and it cost 150 euro.

The actual compressor etc, are imho too complex to do DIY, so I got a guy on donedeal again to install it for me. He used second hand parts and charged me 500 euro in total.

    So, summary cost as follows

    1) Cold room Door 150
    2) Timer fram and paneling.. 150-200 ish
    3) Insulation 200
    4) Compressor supply and install (inculding control panel etc) 500

So just over 1k I reckon, but gives me a walk in cold room of about 5ft x 4 ft.

I live in cork, the guy who installed the compressor travelled down from dublin, but he was the best price I could get.

I built this from scratch, got my Son to tile the floor the unit is a Zanottie GM1 and cost €1200 new, but as my Brother owns a butchers which was getting knocked down I got this unit as a present and am I delighted YES.it took about 3 weeks as I am working and do a 12 hour day, so does not leave a lot of time.

    Cheers.
