Looking good for next week. Deer heading across the field 9.30pm and then back bout 6.30am.
41 photo's of deer in the same field over 8 consecutive nights
Trail cam is a Moultrie 880 on Hybrid mode. Takes a photo every 5 minutes in daytime hours, about 140 photo's, that can be viewed as a stop motion video on my PC. That way you can view a full day in a couple of minutes. Saves each day with different file name. I did get a couple of deer in the morning in the stop motion mode on 1 day. It also triggers in daylight if a motion detection is detected.
Then it switches over to motion detection for the night hours.
Month date is wrong should be 08

Photo showing an image from the daytime stop motion at 6.25am. These deer are about 130m from the trail cam and would not have triggered the motion detector sensor.

The fecking dog is actually smiling for the camera. Priceless. :D

@Clivej. The trail camera really saves a lot of ground work. Been out myself in the car most evenings and a couple of mornings. The hassle a camera would save is unreal. Looks like you have a fairly guaranteed morning ahead of you.

My new Zeiss range finder arrived today so will check zero over next day or so and hopefully be in position before dawn on Monday. I can nearly taste the fresh liver already.

Was out today and Zeiss is fabulous. Clear glass I ranged deer to 600 and cows to 900 trees to 1400 yards I'm sure it'll do better when I see animals further away.

Have been out for the past few weeks watching some red does and fawns and for the first time today I saw the stag roll on Monday

Boat ready for duck all day and the rifle ready for Tuesday morning for deer took the week off can't wait :-D

    Completely knackered.

Was out this morning for about 5 hours, back for quick break and back out again. Doing a check for any lads "starting early" like last year, and then checking out spots for the morning.

Good news is the poxy loggers that destroyed last season for me are gone to a new site a few miles away and the deer have returned to my usual spots. Seen a few, excellent quality, and well at ease while grazing at 2 pm this afternoon.

So alarm is set and gear is laid out. Might not even hit the bed.
