Not much info about this yet but achievements were announced and like every single other year, it is a complete copy and paste. Questioning whether they are even real as KD said he was working on a secret project for the game. I thought it might be a KD mode but no trophies showing this could mean no such mode or fake cheevo's.

I hope they kept the Park. 2K14 was the first in the series that I spent proper time online. Other than that I will only be playing My Career. I wonder if they will have the same as last year, up against a rival like Ellis, getting offered stupid roles in films and deciding whether to sign with Jordan or nike. I heard anyway we can pick key games straight away instead of waiting for season 2. Wish they'd release some info soon. My League has zero appeal for me.

I'll definitely pick this up on day 1. I loved NBA2K13 and 14. I can see NBA Live being an improvement over last years terrible effort, but will still fall well short of this 2K15 I think.

New info will be released every Tuesday until launch.

Yesterday's info:

There are only four 90+ rated players.

For every 5,000 followers 2K gets on Twitter, they'll release the ratings of 100 players, starting with the worst players in the league. Then they'll do the top 5 in each position.

If an NBA player asks for his rating, 2K will give it out along with an in-game screenshot of that player.

No 99-rated players, at least for now.

Ratings are subject to greater fluctuation during the season.

MyTeam news is coming next week.

Last NBA 2K14 locker codes are coming next Friday, September 12.

Nothing to announce about a demo at this time.

New game mode will be announced later this week.

Kevin Durant has a rating of 95 in NBA 2K15.

2K announced the 'Internet would break' with the news being released today. This vid just popped up. Not officially announced but looks like face mapping will be put into My Career.

Not as groundbreaking as they say as EA have been doing it for quite a while and you didn't need a console camera. If it is legit, will have to borrow a camera off someone

I think the first one I bought was 2011 and there's been slim to no changes since then.
The whole thing has got extremely sour tbh.

The passing is atrocious, unless you use the icon passing the chances are it'll go to the wrong player since the highlighting circle shifts a lot when you're dribbling.

The 2k camera is the only way to play the game if you want to run the Guard positions correctly, but then it doesn't zoom out enough when you're around the basket leading to perimeter players being out of view.
Apparently adding a proper zoomed view is asking too much.

The AI gets annoying to play after a while in career.
Once you start scoring well you're doubled regularly forcing constant dish offs to players who miss.
If you try to double they pass it to the free man every time and the engine favours a system that means an open shot is nearly a certainty.. so you either just stick to your man consistently or else he'll score.

Would rather much more randomness in the career mode/AI games, but that would take a new engine and a massive revamp which is probably unlikely given the risks and the continued success they're receiving at present.

Then you have the online which is the main pull for most of us.
Terrible lag which is a killer in a game that requires different timing releases for different players.
And lads that spam 3 pointers for the entire game and with great success. The engine is very flawed in respect of competitive gaming.
It's possible to play FIFA like a noob and get a rare win but it would be just that... rare.
Playing this game like a noob and just spamming 3 pointers is pretty hard to stop given the awful controls on D and shot success based nearly entirely on openness and release.

I think NBA 2k is in that COD zone now, you buy 4 and have a great time. Then comes WaW, AW2, Ghosts and then you start to realise you're paying for nothing more than a fresh box.

All of the above is true but I'm still mad to get this I get it every year and complain about it every year (mostly the same complaints as above) and trade it. The I miss it and really want to play it again but wait for the new version. Like a vicious cycle every damn year!

Momentous trailer released, fairly standard stuff except for the 3 images at the very end that show names of streetball teams. Looks like we might be able to form a proper street ball team with custom court. That would be class altogether! The only online I ever played in NBA 2K was either 1 or 1 with lads on here or The Park last year. I found The Park an absolute great laugh to play. It had it's problems but always pulled me away from My Career for a a few street games.

New My Park is looking snazzy! 3 different areas to choose that give you a bump in different atributes based on New York, Chicago and LA. A Jordan rec area, indoor court with nba rules. The Stage, rooftop streetball where you can wager VC. You can stand in the 'got next' spot or 'squad' spot so you can make a team online. Looks class.

Today, we announced the return of The Park, now known as MyPARK.



In NBA 2K14, The Park was first unveiled. It was the first iteration of a revolutionary mode unseen in any sports game, bringing MyPLAYERs together to play casual games of street ball. This year, the world is getting bigger and the stakes higher. The Old Town Flyers, Sunset Beach Ballers and Rivet City Rough Riders are recruiting true competitors to represent their community in NBA 2K15’s MyPARK mode. Each affiliation has its own 8-court home park and unique flavor of basketball emphasized by slight boosts to various aspects of your game. Pledge your loyalty to one and start making a name for yourself.

Affiliations: You’ll pledge your loyalty to one of three affiliations: The Old Town Flyers, the Sunset Beach Ballers or the Rivet City Rough Riders. Each has its own eight-court home park and unique flavor of basketball, emphasized by slight boosts to various aspects of your game.

MyPARK Rep: After selecting a park, you’ll begin earning a reputation for yourself with MyPARK rep, an earned-only feature which takes into account not only wins, but your teammate grade and opponents. As your rep increases, you will unlock various MyPARK-specific upgrades.

The MyPARK Championship: Beginning October 11 and lasting through the weekend preceding the NBA All-Star game, the MyPARK Championship will pit all three affiliations against one another in weekly rounds of competition. Earn points that count toward the MyPARK Championship, where the winning affiliation will receive a newly designed home park!

Jordan Rec Center: If street ball isn’t for you, try out the Jordan Rec Center, which features four full-sized courts and five-minute quarters of 5v5, NBA rules basketball. Games played here also count toward your MyPARK Rep and the MyPARK Championship.

Squads: Whether you prefer playing on hardwood or the blacktop, form a Squad with anyone currently in your park by viewing the list of players and sending them an invite. Once you have your team, use any designated Squad area located on each court. When that game is over you will all step onto the court together as a Squad.

Additional Features:
With the new Attribute Upgrades feature, you will no longer see a park full of 99s that are impossible to guard. You’ll become a specialist depending on how you upgrade your MyPLAYER.
MyPARK games have been shortened to 15 points, which will shorten Got Next wait times.
With the new always-on game score overlay, you won’t have to change camera angles to find out the current score.
The teammate grade meter shows how well you’re playing at a glance without having to bring up the game menu.
The MyNBA2K15 mobile app makes it easy to send texts to your squad or anyone in your park. Just type in the app and the text pops up on their screen.
Matchups are now based on height with weighting for position rather than simple join order.

I ended up getting it on US PSN store for 48 euro, pre-loading it Sunday and playing it Tuesday, not too shabby!

2K had a live stream, 1 hour 20 mins talking about My Career and My Park. Sounds absolutely class.

Fired this up this morning. The new My Career path looks to be more interesting from the outset. You go Undrafted but your agent gets you a 10 day contract offer from 10 teams and you can choose which team you want to start with. Each team shows who their 1st and 2nd player is in your position and their rating so you get an idea how long it might take you to start. Just played the first game but feels different, in a good way. Upgrading your player skills is different, you pay a lump sum of vc to dump points into buckets (shooting, defense, rebounding, etc) that will upgrade multiple stats at once.

Looking forward to playing more and see how it plays out but gameplay feels much tighter this year.

Oh, and the Facescan is class! Only got an average scan because of lack of natural light so will try again to get a more detailed one. I definitely see it being used more in future games across genres.

Damn I've no will power and the games are just too cheap off the store.

Originally thought about buying Alien, then it was either that or Destiny.
The remembered NBA was out today and if I downloaded any of the other two I'd probably find I get the bare minimum out of it and I've spent E40 that can't be recouped(bought Diablo 3 and found no use for it after completing so was a bit annoyed I didnt buy a disc in CEX as a quick turn around leads to a loss of only E17).

I know if I buy NBA I'll get enough of my E40 over the year to not feel I wasted it.
TBH if I'd to buy E60 or so, I wouldn't have got this any time soon.

Would have preferred Aliens from the 3, but I know it'll be worthless by Friday whereas I can keep an eye out for that in CEX and just lose E17.

Anyway it's going to be a long wait, 46GB or thereabouts, probably the biggest game I've encountered by a long shot.

Haven't really read into the game as such, but from the bits of gameplay it looks more or less the same.

I guess if they can give me even last years game with an online connection that makes the game playable I'll be happy

I'm more into playing online, so having a sports game thats unplayable with button delay is a big negative.

Hard to say. If you're using free post then you'll likely have it 1 or 2 days after release. If you're paying the £6 something postage you could have it on release.

Like I pre-ordered Shadow Of Mordor last wednesday and had it on monday.

Not the smoothest of starts. Kept losing connection to the 2k servers last night so couldn't load My Career. Tried My Team (haven't done it before) but that needs server connection as well. Tried My Park, got in okay but was the only one in the park. 2K getting hammered with complaints about server problems. I know launch day isn't always the smoothest but cmon.

What system are you playing it on?
I have it pre-loaded on xbox one but it says its not available until Friday.

You should always purchase on the US store.
Games are only e45 and you can use your debit card as normal.
Switch to US and it'll unlock it now.
One boot and then you can change regions back

At any rate you can simply unlock the game changing region for one boot.
Can be changed back then.

Wow they haven't learned a thing about online gameplay this year.

The Park is a mess.

Most times I get in it's completely empty.
I chose the shooting park so maybe there's more in the one the cursor sits on, can't check that out since you can't leave unless your 3 stars and you can't get to that if there's no games to play.

You constantly get stuck in animations or when trying to pick a spot.
Games don't load when the slots are full, and there's no way to back or quit the game when stuck in these situations.

It's an even bigger mess than last year.
Awful button delay aswell making it impossible to play D.

Tried changing region but its not working.
When I load with us region and click on game, it brings me into the store to buy it in the us store for 60 dollars.
When I boot back with Irish region and try and launch game, it brings me back into Irish store and says its not available to play until the 10th.

Ahright must recognise which region it was bought in so.

The servers are a mess anyway so you're not missing much for now.

The annoying thing is they said before they had a team of guys dedicated to network infrastructure. Servers are awful but wouldn't even be so bad if their main single player mode didn't rely on online servers.

I got into the park a while ago but only 3 players even though the l2 list was full of players. Gonna stick to career mode a while.

The app mynba2k15 is on aandroid store now. I got 1800vc from it a while ago.

My Visa Debit certainly doesn't work.

Seems if you lose connection to the servers during a career game it nulls and voids it.

I was FOUR seconds away from finishing a game last year when the screen changed like a cut scene was coming.

Another thing I noticed in career which is a bit stupid is the timeout use/retention.
Opposing team using time outs to get you into the game.

If you watch the number of timeouts, normally both teams have 1 left before the 3rd quarter is even over.
Teams keep at least 2/3 for the last few minutes of the 4th, you wouldn't blow them all before the 3rd is even over.

Might change as you become a starter but it's an issue as of now.

What's more annoying is the STILL atrocious passing. I usually use stick control or icon passing but in a split second situation, I just press a direction to the only guy under the basket instead my guy tries to pass it to the furthers awa guy in the corner with 2 guys around him, instant turnover. 5 TO's in my last game because of abysmal passes I didn't want to do.

Also, my team can't score open layups if I pass them the ball, they play like absolute dopes where as the opposition make the most impossible shots, 3pt fade aways, crazy contact layups. My teammate grade is like 62 so I'm sure once I get to 80's it will play better but headwrecking at the moment.

Finally got into My Park with other players. Now that was a laugh. Not long waiting and good teammates, we just had fairly poor stats so not the flashiest game but got the job done. After it I went into the store and bought the Irish vest, awful decision 650VC I'll never see again, looks awful!

It's annoying alright.

Tbh the whole engine needs to go, it's very rigid in most ways.

Can you dribble off a restart in the park.
I always have to pass as do most others.
I think I was able in the first game I played so doubt it's cause I'm a SG.

Have noticed some ppl able to.
It's making fouls in 3v3 an advantage as the initial player can't move and has to pass.

A plus I will say is being able to play off ball in career.
Theyll run plays like the opposition always have so you're not forced into playing the PG to get the ball.
That should always have been there though.

You have to make a us account and buy through that. Easiest is to make a amazon.com account then and buy psn $ credit. Get emailed codes straight away

My scan wouldn't work with the kinect anyway.
Gave up after about 4 goes.

Disappeared . Used it all up on attributes and jump shot styles etc. It kept the jump shots and dunk moves o bought but no attributes. Figured it was too good to be true I was a 85 rsted player snd still in rookie season. Weird bug maybe?

Seems like a lot of people are having problems playing with the servers not working.

I would nearly take this if I didn't buy on the US store! Can only afford 1 game before Christmas and decided on this, kinda sickened.

The game deserves bad reviews at this stage for the servers.

The park is such a mess.

It's laughable to go in trying to play.
Stuck when trying to ready, stuck when coming off a ready.
Constant disconnections.
Unable to so anything bar restart the game from stuck positions.

I think the community are going to have to form unofficial colours for the Rec centre, you can get by in a 3v3 with random colours but 10 players with brown shirts is overkill.

The game deserves bad reviews at this stage for the servers.

I haven't tried jordan rec centre yet but yeah the amount of Brown shirts is crap but it's a given on release, especially today when thousands of European Brown Shirts jump on. Change yer tops people!

I only saw one game going on there early yest.
And they both had matching kits... One team I'd came across a fair bit in the shooters park.

Then last night there was about 100 ppl all bunched and sticking without anything working.

It won't work unless some colour scheme takes off.
Regular parks can survive either way but 10 man needs structures.
