Will we hear some clarification on Costa today? Unsure what to do about him. I know it's only a 0.1 swing but still.

Should do, Jose usually does his press conference around lunchtime.

Is Danny Rose nailed on for Spurs?? Thinking of going with Curtois & Rose over Lloris and Clichy - same price.

He didn't play last night, Davies did. Ben Davies and Rose both competing for the same position if I'm not mistaken.

However last night was more or less the B team.

Hmm... food for thought! Rose has started both previous game and played well even getting an assist against QPR. Risk of rotation is a bit of a melt though! Lots more tinkering to do today i think!

    What about Kaboul? Same price!

Kaboul, Vertonghen, Chirches, Fazio, and Dier competing for two positions..

And Kaboul is more injury prone than Aguero and RVP combined. As you can see the Spurs defence is a minefield. That's the reason a lot of people are hot on Lloris as he seems to be the only guaranteed starter. Pity cos there is some value there.

Cheers lads! Might just give Spurs defence a wide berth so, Courtois seems a better option long term in goals then Lloris to me so going to try fit him in somehow.

It would be impossible to imagine that Verthongen won't be first choice every single week as long as he stays fit. I'm a Spurs fan and follow them quite closely but I wouldn't be confident with any of the other options long term. I think Davies is a better player than Rose but he'll need to get the chance to prove it. I personally think Walker will regain the right back spot when available and that Fazio will line up alongside Vert.
My Spurs back 4 by mid October. Walker, Vert, Fazio, Davies

The wildcard is a pain in the whole due to the unknowns, it'd be sweet if Pelligrini confirmed that Aguero was likely to start this week.
Can't decide whether to go with a 4.5 fifth mid or a sub 5m striker.

Ditched Bojan today, so he's getting a hat trick at the weekend.

I got rid of Bojan first thing this GW. He's one of those transfers out that's a safe bet. He's been hopeless so far. :o

I'm in the exact same dilemma! Either going to go wit Costa/Aguero/Adebayor up front but will have to get rid of either Sterling/Mata or Going with Costa/Aguero and a 5 man mid. Cant decide whether Adebayor is worth sacrificing cover from Utd/Liverpool

Who's the best 4.5 mid lads? I see King off Leicester is getting plenty of attention but I'm told by a Leicester supporter here in work that there are rumours of him being sold.

He's being played due to injuries to other players apparently and wasn't always a regular starter last year.

Wikipedia would also appear to support this:
King started the 13/14 Championship season, how he finished the last. Scoring twice in the first 8 games, both fantastic strikes against Birmingham City and Blackpool FC, the former voted the Foxes goal of the month for August and the latter a show in for September's award. King's first goal of the season also marked his 250th Leicester appearance. Due to the fantastic and consistent run of form from Midfield pairing Danny Drinkwater & Matty James, King found opportunities limited to substitute appearances. King scored his 54th goal for the Foxes in their 2-2 draw against Wigan Athletic on April 1, 2014, making him the clubs highest scoring midfielder in their 130 year history as Leicester made their way to the 2013-14 Football League Championship and promotion to the Premier League.

I have Wanyama (sp?) off Southampton in there at the minute. I just want someone who plays every week.

I'm going with a 4.5 mid. I've found over the years 3-4-3 is the way to go.

As a Villa fan I'd be pretty certain that Sanchez should play every game. However, he's pretty defensive minded, so can't see him getting much more than the 2/3 every game. He came off the bench vs New to play 29 mins, and played the full 90 midweek in the Carling Cup, so should be up to speed for the weekend.

I was on King before pre-season but was unsure of his starts then.

Also Drinkwater and James are both injured. Leicester signed Esteban Cambiasso last night and are reportedly in for Wigan's James McArthur. I'd stay away to be honest. Dean Marney is my 4.5 of choice, but he seems to have some kind of knock but don't know if it's serious at all.

Who have you got in your front 7? Have you sacrificed having players from certain teams?

    At the minute:

    Febregas Ramsey Siggy Mata
    Rooney Aguero Ade

Rooney is only for this weekend. I have 1 million banked to transfer him to Sturridge for Liverpool cover after this weekend.

FYI, for anyone on a WC costa is fit. One less transfer to worry about.

Well that saves me a problem. I'll stick with him and have Mata as my United cover leaving me a front 7 of:

    Febregas Ramsey Siggy Mata
    Costa Aguero Ade

1 million in bank for any upgrades needed at any stage.

:o Well, with the exception of Naismith, none of the 5.5mil forwards have impressed so I don't feel *too* bad about it--though that 0 last week hurt.

Besides, I went with him because his nickname was 'Bojan the Trojan'. How could it have gone anything but wrong? :pac:

Still dangerous playing a WC before an internation break. Costa and Aguero could easily come back injured with their propensity for injuries.

So you're going Sturridge ahead of Costa. As a Liverpool fan i'd like to lean that way myself as it gives a good spread of all the top teams however going on the last two games Sturridge hasn't looked great and i think Sterling offers greater chance for points currently at least. I can also see Costa keeping his goalscoring run up if he remains free from injury

    I've currently got

    Fabregas/Ramsey/Sigurdsson/Sterling
Costa/Adebayor/Aguero (may go jovetic for this week only)

Not sure how i feel about having zero Utd cover though despite their poor form!

How's your defence looking with that front 7 Lemlin? I'm afraid of cheaping out too much at the back.

I'm thinking of a new angle now. My defence isn't looking well. I'm looking at either:

    Krul or Lloris
Dummett Taylor Wisdom Moore van Aanholt

what the view on costa keep him or trade out now. is he out for long

I'm not sure that sure about it to be honest yet. The only definites are Fab, Ramsey, Siggy, Ade and Aguero. The 3rd striker and 4th mid position are still up for grabs between Rooney/Sturridge/Costa for the striker and Sterling/Mata for the mid.
