Net for hanging deer.

One shot on kill

Well guys. Hope yee are al well.

At the last wdai carcass handle ing seminar. The guys mentioned that there was a net you could get to pull up over your deer when hanging. If you don't have a fridge like many of us don't.

Has anybody ever seen or heard of them or know where they can be bought even.

Mate uses 'Cheesecloth' for this. Butchers used to use it a lot, but not seen as much these days.

It is bought as a tube of cloth on a roll that is just cut to whatever length is required. Loose woven and expands as it is pulled up over the meat.

Or you stitch a plain old white cotton sheet together with a drawstring at the top. Even better, use a bit of qualpex to make a hoop, stitch it high on the inside and the cloth will make less contact with the carcass. If you want it washable make the hoop removable.

I made two bags from muslin I got in hickeys- seal the edges with that sticky stuff from the same place that you use for hems. Works grand and stands up to repeated washing.

Clarrie Fawcett in CG Hobbies in Celbridge sells them. Great for keeping the flies off.
