I've imported form both the states and more recently Europe/UK. Never had an issue.

Where are you thinking of getting from?

No issues with importing hunting knives, multi-tools, utility knives and the like. Only carrying one in a public place without good reason and justification will land you in a mess.

It's from the us. But after reading shipping arrangements they don't ship to Europe. I can however get in touch with my fathers mate in Atlanta and he can send them over. Would there be any problems in customs?

I last shipped a knife form the states some 4 years ago. No issues with customs, but after saying that things have changed dramatically in the last 12 months regarding most things.

If you can find it within Europe it might be easier and customs won't be an issue. What are you looking for?

Usually the only problem with customs and importing knives is them asking for money.:) Only people who seem to be utter dicks about this is EBAY as they wont let sales to Ireland for sharp edged objects.any other knife shop online has been no problem whatsoever.

I agree. I bought a knife from the US about 2 years ago and it was held in customs in Ireland and i had to pay something in the region of 30-40 euro more to get the knife.

Have a look at Heinnie Haynes. They have a good selection and are based in the UK.

Have bought from them a couple of times without a bother. I will say they are not the cheapest. I've found some knives cheaper elsewhere, but when i ordered my knife i had it within 4 days. Getting it cheaper cannot account for ease of buying and getting. IOW avoiding the grief of having to deal with customs, tax, duty, and/or the possibility of it being seized because it came from outside the EU.

The other side is Hennie Hayes has a serious amount to choose from. It's the kinds of site you want to just type in what you want, and don't dare look at the rest otherwise your credit card might melt. :D I know i have a fairly long wish list saved. I'll get there one at a time.

I asked this above. Is there a particular make/model you're looking for?

    Hi,

I've ordered from knife works in the states. Customs wanted payment if the value is over 125€ or there a bouts. Have ordered from Heinnie Haynes and no customs payment. Heinnie Haynes has a huge selection to choose from.
