Its good to know that in addition to paying the outrageous fees of the presenters on RTE that the license fee goes to paying for them to go to South Africa to look for the big 5 - ON FLIPPING RADIO!!!!!! Surely that's a visual experience?!!

What is the point of a break at 57 minutes past 2? There was a break less then 10 minutes ago and all this does is stop the debate and thats it

Because RTE have to advertise other RTE programs :D

    There's no advertisers left anyway!

To get money....to help pay the bills!

The reason it's often pushed to near the very end of the show is because Joe (and/or the producers) wanted to keep the conversation flowing earlier in the show.

The husband was on with George Hook as well - talk about selling yourself. George Hook was giving as good as he got. Bet their kids are delighted they are now a national spectacle. And I wonder would the Foster Association have a problem with these foster parents going to jail

pity i missed George Hook, at least he would give a half decent interview.

the old wagon is on Red FM now with Neil Prendiville , he is being all nice to her about her 'ordeal' . Why do these middle/upper class sh*ts get so much coverage ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,162 ✭✭✭AK333

These two are right publicity w*ores. They were on Ireland AM tv this morning and bought their 11 year old on as well. Who's minding the foster children? He's not half as articulate as Monica but they weren't allowed to peddle their nonsense. They were told, on more than once occasion that the government had an obligation to ensure home schooling was being done correctly and had they just registered as home schoolers, ALL OF THIS could have been avoided. pathetic really

Also Monica O'Connor was on 4Fm with Boylan last night

Don't think Enoch Burke is a good advertisement for home schooling http://www.rabble.ie/2014/03/04/irelands-phelps-family-and-nuig/
The Bible sustains them on the three- to four-hour drive from Castlebar to Dublin two or three days a week, before they stand tall with their placards for up to nine hours a day.

Wow, that really is quite disturbing on a number of levels. I'd ask Joe why he gave Enoch so much airtime yesterday given THAT background but then again, Ivan Calorie's solicitor got 45mins unchallenged to tell us that poor Ivan was a great communicator and very fit so he shouldn't be in prison so I guess anything goes anymore on Da Lahv Lahn.

    nice find Snubbs!

Kind of annoyed with myself for not copping on to who Enoch Burke was when I heard him on air yesterday.

I was present at this little stunt he and his family pulled last March.

A total bunch of bible munching fruit loops. It was a bit of a cringe fest for both sides involved to be honest. Have to admit I'd never heard of the Burke family up to then.

I have a suspicion that Enoch's little phonecall to Joe yesterday was merely a getting to know you exercise to get his voice heard out there ahead of next year's gay marriage referendum debates.

We haven't heard the last of Enoch I suspect, and somehow I doubt any future appearences on Liveline will pass me by like the one yesterday.
