Steve Hansen has something to say about Iceland beating England..maybe it's just Kiwi sense of humour.

Also first assistant ref (touch judge for the veterans) with 2 X chromosomes on the Super Rugby sidelines this week. I see the Pro 12 beat us to it though.

I think someone beat the Pro 12 to it too. French D2 maybe?

It's impossible for SA to compete with Europe/Japan with the current value of the Rand.

Would most of the guys going to Japan still be playing Super Rugby though?

Hey guys, sorry if this has already been discussed. Didn't want to start a new thread for it so thought I'd ask here.
Does anyone know if the NZ / Australia matches have gone on sale yet?
On the irfu site it's says it was the end of June but I didn't see any. Maybe I just missed it :O

They're on ticketmaster but very little left, you might have to buy a three-game package including the Canada game.

No tickets left for NZ on the site but plenty left for Australia.

Like for like replacement for his namesake, Jacque. Grizzled veteran flanker with a very loose interpretation of the laws of the game.

Woeful player, didn't realise he was still playing.

Howard moving to the Dragons could be a great signing, he was very good in a poor Munster side.

Was he not head coach before?

He was director of rugby at Saracens, during which he gave probably the most infamous post match interview in Heineken Cup history.

Was he not head coach before?

    Correct.

London Irish was his first club in England. He played for them and coached them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,274 ✭✭✭RobbieRuns

Was he not head coach before?

Yes, but he was player/coach. They won their only trophy in 2002, Powergen cup with him as coach. Conor O'Shea was director of rugby at the time, he is seemingly good friends with Conor. In fact I heard a story that when Venter decided to go back to England after leaving London Irish, to be DOR at Saracens for the South African owners, Conor put the word in for his other old London Irish team mate Mark McCall who was at Ulster. Venter took him on and he is still there. I think Venter is a great move by them.

Bath have been trying to redevelop their home at the Rec for some time.. It seems they have knocked part of their West stand down and increased capacity to 14,500.

My cousin lives over in England and his eldest lad received a surprise gift from his new wife. A seat from the West Stand.
