This is a developer preview. lots of things are going to be broken for your favorite apps.

Yes and I was pointing out the things which I found to be broken...

Agreed, it is a developer preview and has bugs.

For me, I've it on the nexus 7 and don't mind the odd bug, although it is very stable for me.
I wouldn't however, flash it on my phone due to the fact that I also need my phone for, the stoke age features like calling and texting too.

It's not too bad on the nexus 7 though, and I'm enjoying it, so far ;)

For anyone wanting to try out the beautiful new Android L Keyboard here's an app from the PlayStore!

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.shenye.android.inputmethod.latin

    Works from Android 4.0+ too!

I really like it and I'm super excited for this OS!

Wish I could try it on my N7, but mine is the smelly 2012 model :pac:

Is it any good? I downloaded a few of those L type notification apps but they were annoying and rubbish so I uninstalled

    Android 4.4.99 confirmed :pac:

Looks like Android L which is supposed to be 5.0 so I wonder what's this.

That's just the current Beta build, aka Google gently winding the world up.

    On topic.

Chome Beta has been updated with the Material Design look and... well I love it so far! Trying it for the last few hours, runs smooth and looks much much nicer, despite the seemingly minimal changes. Overall, just a much neater look and feel.

Story and APK here on Android Police or you can get it on the Play Store.

Decided to take the plunge and downloading.

Android Lollipop is currently being installed :D

Is the final L preview like a Release Candidate, as opposed to the initial preview, which was like a Pre-Alpha? :D

I'm so used to slimkat on my N5 now, that I don't think I could handle the bigger font size on L preview, or even full release of 5.0
Maybe I can use Rom Toolkit or something to change the dpi settings!

Why not try it with multi-boot see how you like it.

Found this interesting bug on Lollipop regarding WiFi settings.

Hardly just a formatting issue on the Nexus 7 though?

Oh yeah, haven't used multi-boot since an Xperia X10i.
Think it was dual-boot back then :D

I'll look into that, thanks :)

Pretty sure I know the answer to this but if I install the preview on my nexus 7 will it get an ota update when the final version is out?

Nope, once you've rooted your phone you'll not get OTA's anymore, but you can just flash the image instead.

I got google music new apk too its a bit nicer and has some extra playlists if you have US All Access. Play store also updated to new version after I got the music apk.

Afaik its not linked to twitter, your pic is whatever your contact profile pic is. To change slide down the notification bar, click the settings cog and click on your profile picture and edit it there.

What I was curious about was if that local profile pic of myself will show up on others messengers when i send them a sms or will it just be my pic for my phone. Anyone know?
