Shia believe after Muhammed died he passed his teachings/reign to the ayatollahs. Like the Pope in some ways. Another leader to follow. Sunni practice more from the direct teachings of Muhammed himself.

sunni are the more aggressive and extremist of the two.

most islamis terrorist groups are sunni, funded by the Saudis.

shia are found in Iraq/iran, Syria, Lebanon (Hezbollah)

It's currently Sunny for the Sunnis and a bit shiate for the Shias. Basically. ISIS is Sunni. Also, where did they get the last I from?? Levant =/= I

Sunnis that follow an extreme version of the teachings of the Wa'habi sect, just to complicate matters.

I think the big question to ask is - "will this spread?". If they get as far as Lucan, I'm growing a beard, just saying like.

Shia is the woman. She's had a great career as a solo artist beyond the partnership. Sunni died from hitting a tree while skiing.

From the article: However another smaller group, which also included some of the senior Companions, believed that the Prophet's son-in-law and cousin, Ali, should be Caliph.

So aul Mo allowed his cousin marry his daughter?

Both have extremists. Both are mostly composed ordinary feckers getting on with their existence. So no, not really, though the Sunni extremists are the Bin Laden/'shopping centre near you' type.

On the upside, an AK round of ammo is making €3 in Iraq atm, as opposed to the standard 0.30c a piece, and an AK itself is almost impossible to buy as opposed to the €300 they usually go for.

Modern day Victor Bouts are cleaning up. Or the current Sarkis Soghanalian. An interesting google...

i was going to say "take this to the Islam forum", but if you take a look there, you'll note a total absence of any sort of discussion about the current situation in Syria & Iraq. It would be impossible to discuss the news without it reflecting badly on Islam, and that would be against the forum charter.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

But, but, it's the religion of love, not charging interest and killing those who won't join. Tolerance? Not half.
