Definitely DNF tbh. The rage when they come out and they don't jump out of the TV, give people blowjobs while feeding them pizza and let them murder things shall be amusing.

I'd say they'll be out for the PS4/XB1 release.

Radio station and the prospect of more wildlife is are the only things I feel like I'm going to miss out on.

Graphical improvements don't mean much to me, my eyesight's not great anyway. :D

30 player sessions is a big deal I think, and with increased draw distances so sniping should be fun :D

They will disappoint imo, the only reason I feel they are not out now is because they simply weren't fun in testing.

    Agreed.

Obviously I hope I'm wrong like, I want them to be fun, but I think people are holding them up as THE thing that's going to breathe new life back into the online, and IMO that's just setting things up to fail.

TBH, I'd prefer if they added some new single player heists. The crew system was very under utilised in the game, so I hope we get some decent DLC content in that vain at some point to coincide with the next gen release.

Agree on the heists, it's basically at HL3 levels now. R* don't have it functioning online where it is fun and can't be glitched. I'd say they have tried a lot of different variations but they didn't think it would be so hard to implement online. The absolute hate people people spew on the official forums would seriously pi$$ me off if I was a dev reading through the comments but they did promise heists nearly a year ago.

I have a feeling the casino will be opened with the next gen release. I just hope the current/last gen get some new features like additional soundtrack, etc.

Anyway, I will be upgrading day 1, can't wait to play through the story again in that glorious looking next gen update.

It always seemed to me like they missed a trick on offering new radio stations as DLC after release.

Wouldn't you pay a few quid to download an extra one to bring in a bit of diversity? I certainly would, and it would be purely a matter of licensing the music, rather than any real actual programming.

Will it be available on PSN? I'm assuming so but don't see it listed as of now (on the site anyway) I've really gotten into the habit of downloading that way rather than buying the actual disc.

Also nice to have a backup in case the shops are sold out.

Yeah I'm more tempted to download it this time rather than shop/internet buying. I can't see why it wouldn't be available for download.

It's up on the canadian psn but not sure if the preorder is up yet. Wouldn't mind digital copy myself but might take til Christmas to download.

Said it before, but it's insane how good it looks compared to last gen. The graphics last gen impressed the hell out of me, but the PS4 graphics are a huge step forward, something I didn't think we'd see for a few years

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,488 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

It would be great if the 3 protags had new personal vehicles or at least choose to have a different default cars for them. Ill need to delete most of my snapmatic pics to make room for new ones.

I was expecting this announcment on tues or wed, wonder if they have something else planned for the 1 year anniversary.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,596 ✭✭✭AIR-AUSSIE

In not really impressed by the trailer. Seems rock star are almost trying to trick casual GTA fans that there is a list new content (only using side quests mostly). In my opinion at least.

I tend to agree that heists have been hyped beyond belief. They re not going to save online. I find very difficult to get a deathmatch or race to fill with people these days.

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,488 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

One thing i thought was class about the trailer was "continue the search for the truth". Seems like we might finally get to solve the chiliad mural mystery!

So fking annoyed at the delay for PC. Why does the undisputed king of games platforms get treated so badly by everyone?
They gotta upgrade all the graphics, as the console graphics ain't that good. I'm also hoping for 60 players, as PC's can handle more.

Also hope they allow graphic companies to make drivers for it, not like last time...!

60 players maybe but they aren't going to put much more work into it over what the console get.

Aye. Rumour has it they plan to allow xBone, PS4, and PC play against each other. If auto-aim is switched off, mouse will dominate! But we shall see how it happens.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,174 ✭✭✭✭Captain Chaos

No way will Xone and PS4 players be able to play against each other. XBL is a completely closed service. PSN is open to a few games across PC like Warframe and War Thunder.

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators Posts: 28,633 Mod ✭✭✭✭Shiminay

If they were smart, they'd just let the modding community roll out the 4k textures, updated models, etc and at the same time hire a technical community manager who can approve mods for use in multiplayer (so they won't allow advantages or hacks). Think of it like Skyrim - anyone who played that unmodded on the PC is, to be frank, a plank because the mods improve the experience in a massive way. Mods + multiplayer can be messy but it's easy to manage properly with a bit of forethought.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,802 ✭✭✭Benzino

The delay is probably due to modders and hackers. The amount of issues the console versions have due to glitches and hackers is insane, probably one of the worst I have experienced in a console game. And while I know us gamers don't really mind, but R* are hoping to make money via shark cards and the hackers are affecting their revenue.

I have skyrim sitting on my steam account installed since the sale but I haven't played it yet, is there a good guide or pack of mods to install I can get somewhere?

There're several lists around the tubes, the PC Gamer folks do regular videos of it.

Also, the top of all time on NexusMods is a great start: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/topalltime/?

I love 1st person driving and sounds like they're putting a lot of detail into interior of the car. Glad of the additions and its not just an upgrading of graphics.

First person mode sounds class. Might just be able to use my wheel and pedals as a controller then and the crew can go suck it.

Hearing rumours that GTA V will release 2 weeks earlier on PS4, 4th November. Not sure if legit or made up by fanboys but R* do seem to have a deal with Sony when it comes to V anyway.

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,488 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

It's up now on PSN store to release on Nov 18th for 70 euro which includes the 1 mil (500k single & 500k online) plus an extra 300k for online if you preorder on PSN.

Like other digital games, it's only 48 euro on the US store. 50gb download file.

    70 bucks :(

300k in online dollars works out at about €4.50 if you base it on a 500k shark card costing €7.50, so it's a nice little bonus

Is it a known thing how this works, or is it a bannable offence for asking? Genuine question, I really don't know.

Also, if you preorder in a store do you get the 1m notes or is it only digital edition?

And as previously announced, current GTA Online players on PS3 and Xbox 360 will be able to pick up where they left off, transferring their characters and progression seamlessly to their choice of PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC (Social Club membership required).
    actual_1414503330.jpg
Few objects are an obstacle for the intimidating Cheval Marshall.
In addition, anyone who pre-orders the game will receive a bonus of GTA$1M ($500k for Story Mode and $500k for use in Grand Theft Auto Online). We’ve also received tons of great questions from excited fans about what's in store for the game. Below are some of the more frequent ones we've gotten that we're able to shed a little light on – and stay tuned for more info in the coming weeks. Remember, you can always send us your questions at mouthoff@rockstargames.com, or shoot us a tweet at @RockstarGames. If you've got feedback about what you'd like to see in GTA Online specifically, don't hesitate to drop our dev team a line at gtaonline@rockstargames.com.
What about the exclusive in-game content I originally received for purchasing the PS3 or Xbox 360 Special Edition or Collectors Edition last year? Will I be able to access that content on PS4, Xbox One or PC?
Yes, if you purchased the Special Edition or the Collector’s Edition last year, when you upgrade to one of the new systems, you will automatically have those items unlocked and accessible. Those in-game bonuses include the Stunt Plane Trials, Bonus Outfits and Tattoos, and the Pistol .50, Bullpup Shotgun and melee Hammer all for Story Mode use; as well as the Custom Classic GTA Parent Characters and the high-end Khamelion electric car for GTA Online. Furthermore, if you missed out on your chance to buy a CE or SE the last time around, we will also make all of that content available for all players on PS4, Xbox One and PC to earn and acquire with in-game cash (original SE and CE owners will not have to spend any in-game cash to obtain them, they will automatically be accessible upon upgrade).

Can you only make the GTA Online character progress transfer once?
If I transfer my GTA Online character to the new systems, will I still be able to play with him/her on my PS3 or Xbox 360?
Yes, you will only be able to transfer your character once. After transferring your character to PS4, Xbox One or PC, you can continue playing with him/her on your PS3 or Xbox 360 but the progress you make while playing is not shared to the character you transferred to your new version.

Will PC players also receive the exclusive upgrade content like the Dodo and Dukes?
Yes indeed! The content detailed above will be available to returning players on all three new platforms.

Will any of these updates being made for the new systems be also made available for the previous generation of consoles?
The vastly enhanced graphics and many other gameplay updates on the new versions of Grand Theft Auto V are really only made possible by virtue of the powerful new hardware of the new consoles and PC. Some of the other updates such as the upgrade content detailed above are being designed exclusively as a reward for returning players so those will not be released on the previous versions; however do stay tuned for more updates to be made available for Grand Theft Auto Online across all platforms and we’ll have more information on that soon.

Will my created Jobs transfer over to the new systems?
Yes, any Jobs you’ve published in GTA Online using the Creator tool will transfer over so that you and others can continue playing them on the new platforms. Please be aware however that Leaderboards, Snapmatics, Playlists and bookmarks are unique to the console generation you made them on so those will not carry over. (GTAV photographers should get ready to take all-new high-res Snapmatics!)

Will 30-person GTA Online sessions include competitive modes such as Races and Deathmatches?
Yes, they will! GTA Online on the new systems will support 30 players not just in Free Roam but in competitive modes as well (unless of course the Job you’re playing has been designed to be set to a specifically lower player max). We look forward to seeing what unique matches the community can create for a vastly increased number of players.

We know there’s many other questions players have about the new releases as well so please stay tuned for more information to come in the weeks ahead.

The murder mystery, duke o'death car, Stock Car Racing and photo challenge all sound class.
