    The real question is, do people know how to use the numpad to insert symbols?

    If you know the specific codes you really should get out more.

    Can you not just use shift whilst holding altGR and press a vowel to get a capital letter with a fada on your keyboard? My laptop can do it...

    Yup you can but I always get mixed up when trying to to capitals but it's just that with shift?

    I had an ancient keyboard in work for ages after the € keyboard came in, with no € sign, so I had to type euro in words everytime. I felt so dirty.:(
