That's an impressive count from just 4 people, particularly the 250 fox count.
There is only 4 supplying points from our club too, we have only 16 members in total, so we are a small club. But out of that 4, most of the points come from my club mate. Then I would provide next highest amount. I myself handed in 7 foxes, 19 grey crows, 110 magpies and 1 mink.

Rabbit tails? They aren't counted in the Kerry vermin count. What county are you from? How many points is allocated to each vermin type?

Im in carlow aur club gives 1 point for rabbit tail

And what about the rest? In kerry, its 30pts for a fox, mink 50pts and birds are 10 pts each. No squirrel or rabbit though.

Planning to shoot Jackdaws and Magpies. Now what do I do with let’s say 50 dead ones? I will be shooting them around my house on 9 acres. Any advice would be appreciated.

50 on 9 acres,,, jesus the place must be crawling with them!! Dig a hole and bury them.

Sorry but I am too lazy for digging holes. And yes the place is really crowded with them.

Ask local gun club if they can use them.
As for the magpies if you know anyone who is serious into fly fishing ask them if they want the tails and wings. Loads of lads use magpie feather for tying flies. If not then dig a hole. Foxes will eat me anyway

What this thread is intended for...

Me and my buddy shot 4 foxes last night (2 each). I got my 2 in one field, with seconds between each shot. Delighted.

3 foxes came to the call, running through an open gateway from one field to another. I shot one at 90 yards, loud thud noise, he still ran but found him 30 yards away soon after. The 2nd fox ran back towards to the open gateway I mentioned, while I was reloading, and I don't know why but he stopped for a second while at the gap (about 140 yards), but he did, giving me enough time to nail him. Down like a bag of spuds. :).

Buddy's 2 foxes were got in separate locations. One he shot in the head yet he still wasn't fully dead. The other was got in a newly reseeded field.

A good night out. Could have got a 5th but wasn't to be.

i would make use of them for crafty/ sculpture things lol hope that doesn't make me sound too grim :) I would pay for them if you you were interested in selling them, or any thing else that you might consider vermin! :)

Posted pics in the "making a larsen trap thread", this thread probably wouldn't be the place to post them.

Was told today from a fellow work colleague who was out foxing with a buddy of his last night, they shot 4 foxes in one field using night vision (no lamp at all). They shot 2 more not far away. So 6 foxes for the night. He isn't the kind of lad that lies, sounds mad to me. I was hoping to go out tomorrow night with my buddy but it's supposed to be lashing rain and wind. :( so not sure if we will be out at all. Then again, that's what water proof camo gear is handy for ;)
