I'm with the crowd that expects when paying money for a meal that said meal should be presented to me already cooked. What's next, being charged an extra fiver and expected to peel the carrots myself? Feck that.
On top of all that's been mentioned, if you're not happy with the meal, you then have to give out to yourself.

Yeah! If my steak is overcooked I don't want the waiter to say 'well tough, you cooked it yourself'.

Actually, this whole thing is sounding more and more like a conspiracy of chefs who can't cook steak and are sick of people complaining about it.

i dunno, everyone has their own taste, I usually order my steak medium to well done, but got it on the hot stone the last time i was out, so ordered it medium.. the nice thing about it i thought was that the last bite was just as hot as the first.. and by the time i had sliced the steak in to small enough pieces to eat they had cooked to medium well... so happy all round..

You can have it delivered on the stone medium (or rare, or well done) if you want. It's not just that they just send it out raw. In fact that's rarely ever the case. You'd have to make a point of requesting it like that. You can still have it sent out cooked however you like and eat it all straight away if you want.
