I also rarely used the car seat on the chassis. I just preferred the pram to leaving them in the seat for prolonged periods. I think the adapter we have for the bugaboo donkey was used less than ten times. I might sell it on!
I don't think there's any perfect system. I ruled out a lot because baby faced away and there was no options for parent facing, I didn't like three wheelers, some were too fiddly and others I just didn't like the look of. I'm not 100% happy with ours but it ticked enough of the boxes for us to go with it.
