In terms of storage to match the ebb and flow of solar and wind there we should think about building only to passivhaus standard (something which Dublin CC has just voted for but the exec have removed from the development plan) this allows cooling load or heating load to be shifted to non-peak demand to reduce grid demand

i.e. use the house (its thermal mass) as grid storage- has many multiple benefits
