    You are selling:

    4. A striker who doesn't score many goals

£16m is a great price for Utd.

His international record for the period where he was starting games as a central striker was 8 goals in 17 games. At international level that is a fantastic return and shows his potential.

Last season, for the brief period he got a consistent run in the team he scored 6 goals in 7 games with two assists. He only started 15 games in the league and still scored 9 goals.

Tell me again how he doesn't score many goals.

i'd imagine his medical will have to be pretty stringent given his recent injury.

Alot of money at stake to just push ahead without being absolutely sure.

In 163 appearances for Utd he has 34 goals. £16m for a ~ 1 in 5 striker, lol.

Sky really need to reconsider the policy of mixing with "fans" outside the grounds for future deadline days. It's pathetic, shambolic, embarrassing and distracting.

To be fair they asked Premier league clubs for safe areas this year, the clubs don't want them there either.

So why do they do it?
because we the people want them there

Why have Utd strengthened a rival? Stop laughing! Welbeck could be the one who nicks the point that keeps Arsenal in the top four at the expense of his old club

Even though all those fans are idiots, it's Sky's fault for giving them the platform to be idiots. It wouldn't be too hard to do the interviews from an area that the fans can't act the bollix or be heard on microphone.

Ya its sky fault:rolleyes:. Those people don't have free will to be to not be idiots. People need to take responsible for themselves and not blame others

Podolski is a much more useful player. If Welbeck takes his potential minutes it's probably a good thing for Utd.

A lot of the fans are fine and there is some banter. But I say they will be considering what they will do

Do we? I certainly don't.. How do you know this? It's sky's own fault for hyping the day to nauseating levels. I would guess nearly every person on this forum would rather these goons be taken off our screens.

Excellent idea I think they could do a sort of mute maybe also. I say the clubs dont want it happening also. Just look at the Villa fans they ended it as soon as they could but the 10 second delay they could have stopped it

Drenthe has really dropped off the radar altogether in recent years from what he was going to be with the move to Madrid to being loaned from reading to Sheffield Wednesday in what should be his prime.

What's the point in having a deadline if you're able to request an extension? Pointless.

Surely it's arsenal trolling utd by pretending to take him?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,758 ✭✭✭Strongbow10

Sky havent a clue whats happening in fairness, yer man outside Carrington has not had a single update i'd say the club are not even keeping him in the loop the deal could have been done at 7pm for all they know.

His latest update: "I reckon they have applied for an extension".
