    Exciting times.

    What cars were involved?

Were there a gang in the car and was the car victim a woman?
I hear they prey on vulnerable women!

Why the hell dont people keep their receipts like! "Is the timing belt done? It is yeah it was done at 63k miles. Do you have the receipt for it? No I don't.
Well thats no fcuking good to me so! If they are telli the truth why oh why would you not keep the receipt even for parts for something that costs like 400e

Seems to happen all the time timming belt just done (or an other big job). Whatever about not having a receipt for labour as some mechanics don't give them out they should have a receipt for parts. When I bought the golf it had been fully serviced and tb had been done recently. The owner handed me a vw parts receipt for oil, air, fuel filter, oil coolant and the timming belt kit. He got it done with a local well known vw specialist and the book was stamped and everything. It makes it a lot easier to sell the car IMO although I'm sure there plenty that trust the tipex too.

Thought I was seeing things earlier when this was still online.

I test drove that car in 2009 I think it was and then it was a car that was probably made in 2007. A new model petrol FR with a better spec is about 3k more.

My last car I got the timing belt done and water pump and never got a receipt. BUT if I am going to get any big work done on a car i am going to ask for a receipt from now on. That's from reading on here before I didn't think I would need them.

I actually walked up to see if it was. Fiestas burn well in case anyone is ever cold.

Although I felt sorry for the young owners. I'd hate for it to happen to me.

The octavia is going into be valeted tomorrow. I said to get that done first so I can see what it turns out like before sending in the golf :) going by neighbours and relations cars though they are properly spotless coming out of the place. My dad used a few of the bigger car cleaning places through the years. Most have a very half arse view towards cleaning. After getting a full valet you wouldn't have to look hard to find tar which just isn't really acceptable. Interesting to see how close they get it to the day it was bought new in 2011 although there is a few marks on it more stone chips nothing major really.

Mentioned to my parents I was going to buy a new car. Have a guess what the first question was?

    Will you buy a diesel?

Seriously?! I live in the city centre and drive around 7K a year MAX.

I'm not actually fully sure my mother booked the car in. I'm not even fully sure what they do. But a few people I know have got their cars done and these people would be getting there cars valeted every few months and they said that this crowd are by far the best in kilkenny. I'll know more tomorrow evening. See what they did and how much it actually cost.

    Small petrol. :(

Would like a smaller turbo, but a bit out of my budget. :pac:

The big petrol will come later, probably next year. I've no space for it.

Everytime I move this Triumph, bits just fall off.

I pulled up the bootlid and it came clean off.

Theres also a huuuuuuge spider inside somewhere, I'm not looking forward to taking out the interior :(
